After waiting decades for movie-accurate Batman Returns figures, Todd finally gave us some.

Now NECA Is giving us more.

What do you all think? Are going to buy a whole new set of Burton figures, this time from NECA?

I don't know. The stuff I got from Todd is only a few months old. They have their flaws and the NECA stuff looks OK, I don't know if it will be better by leaps and bounds. I imagine the cloth goods are going to limit the articulation pretty significantly. I'm undecided on these.

I doubt I'll get these, but they look decent. The corset on Catwoman is a bit bulky, but otherwise it's a nice figure. Batman's cowl also looks a little too big for his face.

Mentioned over in the NECA thread, but I kinda dig them. I probably do like the McFarlane figures a bit more overall, but they're a bit lacking in some areas, like Catwoman's claws, and no shredded mask for her. I think it'll ultimately depend on how they look in person- I'm not the biggest fan of the retro cloth figures, but that's mostly because a lot of them end up still kinda having that "doll" look. But these, being a bit more elaborate and costume-y (and, in Penguin's case, more unique proportions), they may end up looking pretty good in person.

I agree Catwoman's corset is a bit bulky, but it's been over 30 years, I can't expect her not to gain a little weight, and you won't find me body-shaming!

Depending on how they turn out, I wouldn't mind a couple other Batman retro cloth figures. I'd mentioned Ledger Joker as something I think would be an easy sell. I don't expect them to go beyond any figures they put out before- Ledger Joker, Bale Batman, Affleck Batman, Arkham Knight Batman, etc., but I'll consider each as they come.

I'm curious to see these in-store, but I'm pretty happy with McFarlane's Batman Returns wave. Neca seems to do the Keaton headsculpt odd each time. I do like the hair-out Catwoman look, but a whole new scale for these doesn't draw me in.

Yeah, the retro cloth figures like these are pretty hit-or-miss, and you can't always tell in the photos. Sometimes the head is way bigger than the rest of the body, and feels it, so I'll definitely wait to see these in store before committing to anything. But I'm cautiously optimisitic. Curious, too, as to how Catwoman's suit will hold up with all the bending and posing. If gotten at all, these may have to wait for a sale.

I decided to take a gamble on 89 Batman. Not totally convinced by inhand images and reviews but enough to take a chance.
