Movie Essentials before Todd finishes?

Beginning with Batman in 1966, the first color superhero movie release, DC has put out 41 live action theatrical films. Minus Watchmen and Jonah Hex, that leaves 39.

What do you feel is essential for Todd to get to before he closes out? This is academic for me as I don’t buy live action figures.

Also remember that two new DC films release next year while Todd still holds the license.

No TV or animation answers please. 😉

I'm gonna sound like a broken record (nothing new there), but for me, the focus is mostly on the Nolan films. Alfred, Gordon, and Ra's at least. Blake, Harvey, and Talia would be awesome as well, but not quite as necessary. But if he doesn't get to the former 3, I'm gonna be really bummed.

Batman & Robin Bane would be great as well, but he's another that I wouldn't lose sleep over. He was barely Bane to begin with other than looking like him. Serkis Alfred would be neat too, but Caine feels like the higher priority.

Watchmen figures would be great as well, and I know they've been on Todd's radar basically since he started the line, if only because people keep pestering him about it. But I have no real preference on if they're live action or comic-based. Either way, I think he could easily churn them out in a single wave- Rorschach, Nite Owl II, Silk Spectre II, Comedian, Ozymandias, with Dr. Manhattan BAF, or any combo thereof, or, if he goes the movie route, just make them all theatrical deluxe editions. Bonus points if it's a Bubastis BAF.

I'm at the point where I don't know if I could classify anything as being "essential" because I have so much stuff. What we get, we get, and I'll just be happy. And if they DID make every single thing, I'd have to do some sort of self-imposed cut off in the name of space and money. That said, let's assume the "Nicholson inspired" Joker IS happening and that it's the best we're going to get, in that case I'd take:

Billy Dee Williams Harvey Dent Two-Face from the Batman 89 comic--This one is probably at the top of overall figures I want to see Todd do, I think it would be really good.

77 Zod, Ursa, and Non. "KNEEL!"

Lois Lane---either Kidder or Broznahan (neither will happen).

Bob the Goon with three other alt Goon heads so you can Goon build with one figure (too much value for dollar with this approach, it will never happen). This would round out the figures that Toybiz made for the first movie in 89. I don't think I need Vikki, sorry, I think she's a weak character.

Panther suit Kilmer. I don't think I need Chase, sorry, I think she's a weak character.

B&R Bane I don't think I need whoever Elle McPherson played in B&R, sorry, I think she's a weak character (I sense a pattern).

I would take Ra's if he was in the training suit he wore on the ice and give him a sword. I don't need/want another Alfred suit body.

I think that's it.

4 Goons in one? Haven't seen that much gooning since college.

In all seriousness, though, that would be great. I'd love Bob, and I'd happily take an army builder of some sort. Has Todd done any army builders that way in the DC line? I can't really think of many army builders he's done in general, let alone ones with swappable heads. The only one that's coming to mind is the Robin Crow figure, and even that, they were all packaged separately.

Agreed on Ra's being the ninja suit. It's just so much more visually interesting, I think, plus he could double dip and give us Bruce in his training suit, or a masked head for a League of Shadows army builder.
