But didn't Hasbro release a Johnny Blaze GR in the leather jump suit, in this blue color scheme, with the bike? The bike wasn't red, it was regular bike colors. I feel like that could be a grittier option.

Ghost rider has never gotten proper movie treatment the 2nd movie is just sooooo bad I find it unwatchable.
Definitely a property overdue for a modern comic book movie approach in quality. Weren't there rumors forever about Ryan Gosling playing him? I bet that would make for a great film.

This is the third crack at classic blue Johnny Blaze with his ride. (I know you know all this, just using it as a chance to post some fun/nostalgic pics)

I still really love both the previous versions, but I never did find the blue TB variant (still have the regular black one, though). The Legendary Riders version has held up really well in my opinion and he's not going anywhere, but there's no denying the beauty of a more fully classic Johnny Blaze Ghost Rider. I think Ghost Riders in general are infinitely toyetic, so I've got room for plenty of different iterations!

The ML7 Ghost Rider was a quality figure, but was he ever depicted in comics as completely skeletal? That figure was sculpted so lanky, like it was a skeleton wearing a leather outfit. Not the super-heroic proportions I tend to associate with Ghost Rider. I don't read GR comics, so I don't know, is he all just skeleton underneath? No flesh, muscles, organs? What fills out his clothes for him to look so built? Just fire? Like a hot air balloon?

I agree completely. I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that Nick Cage's Ghost Rider is supposed to be in either Doomsday or Secret Wars. And while I'm not a fan of Cage's jellybean-drinking portrayal of the character, hopefully Marvel Studios can work their magic like they did with Spider-Man and finally do him justice.

And although I would really prefer this particular figure have slightly looser clothing with some fabric wrinkles, I will still happily add him to my collection --after I remedy those white gloves! Lol

Some artists did depict him as skeletal, with flames making up his "musculature". It wasn't really consistent though.

Yeah.. the TB Series VI "phasing" and the Rhino Wave GRs are my display picks... I was on the fence but the TB one, which I will still keep in display is a bit spindly and dated. I feel like this is decent offering and the bike is fire!

This brings back so many memories of some of the frustrations from the Toy Biz days. Highly articulated, detailed, 1/12 versions of iconic Marvel characters! But some of them come in this weird re-imagined way that - while kinda cool - weren't exactly what people were wanting for the very first figure of that character right out of the gate. See: Johnny Blaze GR, Apocalypse, Ultron. That, and the tendency to make conglomerated looks of characters that sort of collapsed a bunch of different costumes into a single design instead of being accurate to a single look.

Nowadays, I might actually be kind of interested in a subline that made re-imagined or niche versions like skeleton Ghost Rider, which is honestly still a pretty cool figure. It was hard to be satisfied with it at the time, though, as it was the only representation we had of Johnny Blaze for a very long time.
