Not sure if this belongs in video games but it looks like this line is gonna encompass a lot of different stuff.

This was announced today and as a huge Fallout fan, I like what I see so far. The armor looks pretty detailed from what we can see. And I believe there's a laser gun and a plasma gun among the weapons in there. Can't wait to get a better look at it. Fingers crossed that it has some decent articulation.

The power armor isn't my bag, but pretty much anything else from Fallout I'd be game for, and I'd pick up the power armor if it meant we might get some others, too.

Almost bit on Lilith today but already sold out on Amazon.

I've been planning a Fallout custom for a while now. When I heard McFarlane picked up the license, it was bittersweet, to say the least. I have no customizing skills, but I also hate McFarlane's toys. They revealed their TV-based Lucy today, and... whoof.

In the show, her costume is dark but vibrant. McFarlane opted for drab instead. The dog looks more like Easter candy than an action figure. I won't even get into the diaper, articulation scheme, or wrists/ankles. Given the "Elite Edition" marketing nonsense, I'm guessing this will retail for a lot more than $25.

Please stop giving McFarlane Toys licenses.

SIXTY DOLLARS? Does Bethesda charge insane licensing fees or something?

I can't believe how bad that looks — bad for a $20 figure. It's insane to me that they're trying to charge a premium price for this.

Think about Classified Mutt & Junkyard or Road Pig and Rawkus with the sculpting and the articulated animals and everything and then take a look at the pictures for Lucy. And this is $60? That ain't due to licensing.

It's incredible. Insulting, really.

It's kind of funny, because when McFarlane started doing DC figures they were 20 bucks at a time when hasbro had already been charging 25.

I think McFarlane has found that video game/TV licenses are a tough sell at mass retail (in general, there are obvious exceptions) so they're trying to make a more "premium" figure...But it's not any better than what they were selling for 20 bucks. Maybe a couple more hands and faceplates.

Todd's animal companion offerings are openly embarrassing compared to what Hasbro is doing. I do have his (non-movie) Krypto and Ace and they're just... sad on the shelf next to Timber, Junkyard, Cosmo even the animals from the otherwise garbage D&D line Hasbro has (EDIT: the HUMANs are bad in that line, but they really did do great with the monsters). If Lucy weren't also so bad looking here it'd almost be worth getting an extra La& Order set next month to stand in for Dogmeat, but she looks like a figure you'd find on clearance at Hot Topic or something.

Mediocre Fallout Lucy figure with a few faces, a few hands, and a dimestore garbage-looking static dog is $59.99 at BBTS. $60 for a McF figure. These toy vendors have gone absolutely insane and this hobby, like so much else under capitalism, is quickly becoming only for the extremely rich.
