Now the clock is on. 14 months to go. What do we want/need to finish this off? As always, there are two answers: Need vs Want.

Need: All Comic Versions

Black Canary. Clearly. Maybe a variety pack of Canaries.

Hawkman/Woman 2-pack: Generic deco with multiple heads and weapons to differentiate between Carter/Katar and Shiera/Shayera. Generally, people will probably buy two.

Wonder Girl/Cassie Sandsmark: Finishes out the base lineup of Young Justice.

Jo Mullen: Final Earth GL. Maybe even Teen Lantern Keli with the gauntlet from Krona.

Superman Villains: Brainiac, Atomic Skull, Ursa, Metallo, Mr. Mxyzptlk, Parasite

Marvels/Shazam: Mary and Freddie two pack would be awesome.

I think that would complete the Burton/Schumacher and Nolan collections.

Dceu, Arrowverse, Batman TAS/DCAU and Arkhamverse have too much left to realistically complete a collection. I'd love to see more from the Reeve Superman films and Returns too but don't see that happening.

Comics wise a lot of what's mentioned already is definitely needed to round out collections. I'd also throw in Ubu (he always gets left out like in Arrow and Arkhamverse) and a 90s/Hush Nightwing. I don't really have a dog in the fight when it comes to the comic figures though as I only get movie figures and Nightwing figures from Multiverse and the Mafex Hush figures take care of my comic book dc needs.
 
89 Batman was handled so poorly from the neck up that I would wish for a redo before the end. And it doesn't even need to be a complete redo, just.....like I say.....from the neck up.

If you HAVE to give articulation to a figure based on a costume that never had that articulation in the first place, then do it like they did with the Batman Returns, where it's at the base of the neck. And don't stop there because the neck articulation isn't the only thing setting this figure back. The head sculpt itself isn't even a ballpark likeness.

Then there's the cape. It looks fine if you have the rods in there and he's making the pose. But if you are just trying for a vanilla pose (or ANY other pose for that matter) the cape is a mess. The stiff material with the pockets sewn in is horrible. If you do a good wire cape, you don't even need the "rods and pockets" system.

The buck he is on is fine, go ahead and reuse that, Todd. Redo 89 Batman, put him in a 2 pack with 89 Joker. Better yet, make it a 3 pack with Bob, give the packaging a Toybiz deco. Make it a standard release available to anyone who wants it. Watch money pour in. It really will be as easy as that, I promise.
