Marvel Legends Gamerverse

I don't think the Phoenix has to belong to Mutants...just those with psychic abilities. I know in the Marvel Universe most psychics ARE mutants, but it's conceivable there could be non-mutant versions. The idea that it just hops into whoever is handy goes against a whole lot of established lore. Whether it be Cyclops or Echo, it just doesn't make sense to me.
They truly mucked up the Phoenix lore, like they do all cool things best left mysterious.

That's the 2000s Mighty Marvel Manner. 'Nuff said!

I think it’s meant to be a little tongue in cheek when Bendis decided to make Echo be a vessel for the Phoenix. I mean first of all, he’s a huge fan of David Mack, which is why Bendis shepherded Maya in his New Avengers comic as Ronin. But also he’s probably thinking to himself “Well Echo has photographic reflexes and is something of a mimic, so what if she could inherit the powers of the phoenix because she is adept enough at imitating those she comes into contact with.

I get it, and I share his love of David Mack, but I still don't like Echo being Phoenix. To me, Phoenix should only choose hosts that are high level telepaths. That's me just being an old, curmudgeonly comic fan I guess.

Yes we do. Also speaking of mutants, I was giving it some thought but if we get any more Wolverine variants on this Gamerverse body out side of the obvious choices like feral Wolverine, brown and tan, battle ravaged…I would love to see this costume come back from the animated series.

Wasn't there a version of Wolverine that had ascended to "Phoenixhood?" And wasn't there a gun that was basically a "Phoenix Gun?" I'm not sure where along the way Megatron inherited the Goodwill Hand-Me-Down Phoenix but we're definitely in Lafufu-Phoenix territory and not the OG exclusive.

Further reason not to do the Phoenix in anything unless it's with Jean Grey, even Jean Grey is at the point of being more identifiable as the Phoenix than most Jean Grey characterization. That was one of the things I actually liked about Onslaught. "Oh good, Jean gets to just be Jean this time and not be an OP slate-wiping character." In hindsight I'm surprised they DIDN'T use Phoenix to destroy Onslaught as that seems patently Marvel, but I give Lobdell credit for being character-driven with most of his characterization even when forced into crossovers.

And yes I would probably buy purple "Stealth" Wolverine.

At the time, I loved New Avengers through Civil War, Mighty Avengers, Dark Avengers, Secret Invasion, World War Hulk, Dark Reign, Dark Avengers, and Siege. It was a fun ride for me.

It was pretty cool to me how one resulted from the previous. This was a bunch of big dominoes in place.

I finally decided to buy Juggernaut at Gamestop. Of course his torso is stuck and had to fully submerge him in hot water since a hair dryer wasn't working. I was wondering, does his torso pop off? I wanted to add some shock oil, but wasn't sure if I was applying it to the joint. Just to be safe, I poured half a bottle of 80wt shock oil between the torso crack and prayed for the best.

But seriously, I was trying to dab at the ball with some oil at the end of a paper clip. Not sure if it was the heat or the oil that did the trick, but I think he's fully cooled and the joint is still moving well. I googled to see if there was any proof of someone popping him apart and was surprised to find several people on reddit who thought this was an action feature like a He-Man.
