Marvel Legends Box BAF Wave

Don't know if it's been addressed, and I no longer remember who was asking. But USAgent reuses the new Punisher body. It's not in any way the SW Daredevil body. He is beefy, but not quite Gamerverse Cap beefy. He has new glove cuffs and shins (feet are the same as Punisher, or figures going back as far as Grim Reaper) that look like DEVO hats. His energy shield has the standard clip/peg. but he has no hole in his back for the peg, so it'll only be worn on his wrist, until of course the clip breaks. I think this is an ugly, generic costume but I'm happy to pair him with Modular Iron Man and Spider-Woman.

How many US Agents do we have at this point? Do any of their blues on their masks match this one?

I dunno what's happening with the line, but these headsculpts lately have been...I dunno. Borderline uncanny valley? In like an uncomfortable way? I dunno, I really don't like this face at all. But this is the US Agent I've otherwise been wanting, so I just.. really need to swap that head with something.

I almost canceled this wave last minute but my Alpha Flight loyalty kicked in with Box and Marrina and left it. Got Betsy and USAgent today. I called Marvel Legends the workhorse collection earlier because while they rarely blow me away they just do the job really well and make good, solid figures, and this hasn't changed my mind.

Betsy is lovely - really pops and I actually like that they've glued down the front edge of her cape - it leaves it free to lift in the back but gives it more stability than a lot of their other cloaks.

John is funny, almost every build-a-figure wave there's a figure I really don't want that I get to complete the BAF and call the BAF tax, and almost always that figure just ends up being a lot of fun to pose. He's not a great figure by any stretch but I've been having a blast setting him up in action poses to figure other figures on my desk. Definition of a workhorse figure to me. Simple, solid, fun.

Got Weapon X Wolverine a few days ago too. There really hasn't been a Logan I didn't like in years, so he's good, but nothing new or Earth-shattering. DIg the new sculpting on his boots, and the claws feel like they're a new style? I really can't tell though.

Agreed. I was having all kinds of fun posing that figure and Falcon last night.

Bets and Mariana (along with BND Puny) are going to be here today. I wasn't expecting them so soon--thought it'd be another week.
