Marvel Cinematic Universe Movies and Streaming Series Discussion

Here's the story:

Given Kimmel has been back at work for months, I admit I would find it strange for her to hold onto this as a reason not to continue with the character. Maybe she wasn't happy with other aspects of the role/production.

(Disney in general seems quick to distance itself from people embroiled in controversy as a policy - see Carrano, Gunn, Barr, Majors - so to me them putting Kimmel in a time-out, whether you believe it was deserved or not, was in keeping with past decisions. I think they knew it would blow over quickly if they "punished" him.)

Yeah I had the impression she was done with Disney just in general, not strictly for the Kimmel thing, but I haven't read a lot on it since it first came out.

I keep forgetting the Nic Cage Spider-Noir thing is happening. Hope it's as fun and unserious as it needs to be.

I wouldn't be surprised if there's a lot more to Tatiana and Oscar's decisions to want to cut ties. It doesn't always seem like Disney has their backs when things get rough with fans. Kevin Feige might, but Disney seems to remain quiet and neutral in such matters. Also, Disney's (or at least Bob Iger's) recent statements supporting the use of AI probably isn't helping matters any.

I could see that, I could also see that Disney sort of thinks that you are at their beck and call once you are part of one of their franchises and it creates uncertainty in accepting other work, especially when Disney seems uncertain about next steps for both She Hulk and Moon Knight (and Poe for that matter).
