Hulk Deluxe/Retro Wave

She has different packaging than the rest. I don’t think she’s actually part of the Hulk program, just a complimentary release.

Yeah, it's weird that it's still Hulk branded packaging - just not in the same retro style.I wouldn't be surprised if only the big guys (rumored Mecha Hulk and Hulk 2099) come on the special packaging.

I find it kind of funny that Hasbro chose to put Absorbing man into the Secret Wars line and not this one since it’s supposedly meant to mirror the Hulk wave that was out in the 90’s. Not that Absorbing Man doesn’t belong in Secret Wars because we needed him to go with Titania and what I hope is the rest of the Wrecking Crew.

Regardless I hope this means we get a new savage hulk and a first appearance grey hulk for those who missed on the Avengers 60th release. I’d also love to see a new Marstro and Doc Samson, Hulkling and Infernal Hulk. And forget The Green Door, I need the Rage Cage to make a comeback

I said in the other thread that I think smart Hulk looks like a fine release but I'm at the point where I have to be really, really hyped about something if I'm paying these prices.....Hulk prices in particular. If I already own something that I'm perfectly happy with, its replacement has an extra tough job.

I've always been happy with the Toybiz Hulk Classics smart Hulk (I still got his glasses!). I may just ask my mother in law to knit me some 1/12 scale pink bunny slippers and save me $60 (and I'm the only grown-ass man in the world even considering making that request of his mother in law). Maybe I'll hit eBay at some point and try to score his ammo belts and small gun.

In the ministream with Dan and Dwight, they mention that there are 2 more figures coming in this line - I’m assuming that Hulk 2099 and Samson are locked in for those.

I’m liking what I see here. I sold off the HC Prof in the autumn when this was rumoured and I have no regrets. The slippers are awesome and I like that the glasses can be removed (they’re just one of those things that are really hard to pull off in 1:12, so I’ll doubt I’ll ever display with them).

The heads look like they could be used with Max Hulk for a Capcom style, but I’m still happier with my mod of the smiling head, as I don’t think either nail the MVC hairstyle 100%.

I was coming here to say the same thing - they mention Abomination as the one previously revealed figure before Smart Hulk, and two more coming on this packaging. No mention of Red She-Hulk as part of this "program" of Hulk figures. Whatever the thinking is, more Hulk figures = good stuff.

If Samson is one of the last two, he'll be the odd man out as the only normal sized figure on the retro Hulk packaging. Unless they make his more recent Sasquatch form, in which case I'm breaking into Hasbro HQ and smashing the place up.

I love that She-Hulk has become a mainstay of the line. Including the MCU figure we've gotten like 6 She-Hulk figures since 2020 or so. I just wish they'd give those bodies proper waist and butterfly articulation. Maybe the inevitable "modern" She-Hulk (previously made in the Blob wave) will get it since it will require a wholly new torso.

Something's off on Smart Hulk. Legs are too short for sure. Headsculpts don't work for me either; thsi Hulk's got s very distinct facial structure and they missed it (ToyBiz gead was better, IIRC). Nice slippers though!

I think the legs are just modded to remove the pants tears and pins.
