They're owned entirely by WotC, so.... very slim? Guess it depends on how close to the sun Harvinger wants to fly. If anything, I would expect it to be a scenario where the more Githy-type head is not the one packed on the figure, or something.

Feels pretty remote. Not just because of WotC ownership, but also because Gith aren't an especially sought after figure on the market. At least not relative to other D&D archetypes out there.
 
All the reviews and pics of Elric make me REALLY want to make sure I secure him when the in-stock sale hits. I was BROKE when he first went up for preorder, and wasn't sure I'd be able to pay for him, so I held off. When I finally realized I could go ahead and get him, I went to BBTS and he was sold out, so I've been bummed about missing him for a while now. Right now I'm living vicariously through all the fantastic shots of the figure...keep 'em coming!!
 
I was on Reddit this morning, because I was feeling good about myself and wanted that to stop, and I saw a few posts showing off Elric. Many of the commenters said it was their first Savage Crucible figure and they were highly impressed. TheSameIdiot said he thought this might be a company defining release and I think he's right. It definitely brought more eyes to the product. Many expressed interest in Death Dealer, (though not as many as I would have liked!) so if Savage Crucible comes with a strong follow up with Death Dealer those two figures could really bring new eyes, attention, and focus on their product. I hope they're ready to capitalize on it.

They announced they're going to have some limited quantities of Elric at the Motuniverse event - Im heading there on May 23'rd and can try and secure one for ya if you like!

I think it's an absolutely game-changing release for them. I'd heard good things, but the earlier releases just weren't clicking for me. Looked cool, but nothign I *needed* on my shelf.

Elric though, I've got a lot of affection for that character, and I was willing to take the chance simply because there's a good chance I won't see that offering twice in my remaining lifetime. Weirdly, not only did it make me a fan of the line, but I think it makes it more likely I'll see more Elric stuff of all kinds in the future. I somewhat hope so.

And now seeing the quality I'm more open to anything they put out. Hell I got the lizard dude I never would have bought on it's own simply because Elric needed a foe to fight, and he looks rad (credit to @Damien for selling me on the idea, I'm thoroughly enjoying both figures now).

It's funny how a good action figure can inspire us in ways to keep the dopamine going. I had read a little bit of Elric's stories as a kid, then a few of the First comics mini series, my familiarity with him was limited but did exist and I loved the character from what I knew. Then Savage Crucible drops this gem and I find myself downloading books and comics and diving back in full force.
 
I've tried Elric and it hasn't clicked, but I know me, and when my figure arrives from BBTS I'm gonna want to read about him. So, I bought the graphic novels of the Titan comics, comics are usually the easiest way for me to get into a character. I'm gonna set them aside and binge then when the figure arrives.

Savage Crucible said in a past live stream they can do three Moorcock (More Cock) characters. Elric is one, I'm not sure about Silver Warrior, but the impression I got from talking with Frankie Frazetta is that IF he is released (Savage Crucible has only hinted at it and Frankie DID NOT confirm he would be released) he may be released as both a Frazetta/Moorcock (More Cock) figure, because that would be in line with how Rob Post would want to please the fans. Rob Post likes to call things what people want it to be called. No idea about the potential third one.
 
I feel like the two more cock's we're gong to get are going to be Corum and Hawkmoon. I think Silver Warrior has much more recognition from the Frazetta painting and will be marketed as that with his famous painting right on the front of the box.

FWIW, if you've bounced off Moorcock (THAT IS A LEGITIMATE SENTENCE) in the past, the narrator on the audiobook is excellent. He's got a great pacing and it makes for a good "while getting other responsibilities done" listen.

Unrelated, my one expensive import figure of the year is sitting in my POL with BBTS right now - do I hit ship on that figure today so that the SECOND I hit ship, BBTS will start charging for Elric? I'm willing to take the karmic hit for the rest of us waiting on their shipment.

No. We all get him, or none of us get him. We leave no man behind, here in Articulated Thoughts.

Albinos and gingers don't count. Their natural predators, auto-immune disease and sunlight, will kill them off anyway.
