Of the figures revealed yesterday, which were pleasant surprises for me, I'm buying the Green Goblin, the Scorpion and Boomerang. Seeing Boomerang makes me want new figures of the Beetle, Speed-Demon, classic/normal human form Hydro-Man, and a Deluxe armored Rhino for Sinister Syndicate fans. The new Scorpion is also more impressive than I thought it'd be and including the bendable wire for the classic tail is very nice!
Since we're getting the Green Goblin, I hope we'll get more Raimiverse figures for the "Marvel Legends" line, such as battle damaged Spider-Man (from 'Spider-Man', 'Spider-Man 2' or 'Spider-Man 3', any will do), Peter Parker, Mary Jane Watson, Norman Osborn, a proper 'Spider-Man 2' Doc Ock (with the yellow paint under each tentacle this time, please, Hasbro), and a normal/human Sandman. I don't like 'Spider-Man 3', aside from the scene when Sandman starts to reform after getting his powers and learns to literally pull himself together, but for those who do, new figures of New Goblin and Venom need to be made too.
X-Men '97 Beast looks nice and I'm confident after seeing that smiling face that a George Perez version of Beast could be made sooner than later.
I also loved hearing Dwight wants to make Zzzax. Then again, I'm just glad to see Dwight back in the video after his absence. I hope this means we'll get many more Hulk figures from Hasbro sooner than later. I could list at least twenty off the top of my head I'd love to see made.
As for the teases, it's really nice that we might get a new Mary Jane Watson figure (though I hope it's a civilian M.J. and not the current Venom M.J., which I cannot stand) and the Christmas Spider-Man seems to be all but confirmed. A new civilian Peter Parker from the comics is long overdue too.
As a side note, seeing the Spider-Man reveals made me smile and got me excited. I haven't felt this pleased for Spider-Man reveals since the second wave of the "Retro Spider-Man" toyline (even if Hobgoblin turned out terrible in that wave). I'm just waiting on Hasbro to make updated classic/Retro carded figures of Vulture, Doctor Octopus in either his classic green-and-yellow suit or Armani suit with bendable wire tentacles (preferably both), a new non-exclusive Lizard that's actually easy to find, Electro (it's been six years since he last got made, so he counts), Mysterio with alternate civilian heads like Quentin Beck, Daniel Berkhart and J. Jonah Jameson (as an Easter egg/nod to "The Mysterio Manifesto"), the Green Goblin with alternate heads like Norman Osborn, Harry Osborn and Bart Hamilton and with a bat-wing shaped Goblin Glider, Kraven the Hunter, a new Deluxe Rhino on a new body mold this time, classic Shocker with human eyes and not eye lenses, Black Cat with an alternate smiling head and a grappling hook, first appearance Hobgoblin with a Glider that stays on his feet and alternate heads, and a new black symbiote Venom with blue cel-shading a la Mark Bagley's artwork on Venom from the '90s. Then again, I'm also still waiting on Man-Mountain Marko, a better classic Morbius, a better six-armed Spider-Man, classic Man-Wolf, the Spot, Kangaroo, Carrion, a proper and better painted Doppelganger, classic Stunner, Octo-Spidey, classic Lady Octopus with bendy wire tentacles, '90s Clone Saga suit Mysterio with the "mist" head look and alternate fishbowl helmet look, Fusion from Paul Jenkins's run on "Peter Parker: Spider-Man", and the Vulture and Electro in their costumes from Mark Millar's "Marvel Knights: Spider-Man" run.
Also, since we're talking how Marvel Legends seems to be more '80s focused lately, I'd love a "The Wedding" boxed set. I'd include five figures and put red-and-blue suit Spider-Man (to match the cover and nightmare sequence), black costume Spider-Man with the small eye lenses, tuxedo Peter Parker, wedding gown Mary Jane Watson, and Electro with an alternate Max Dillon civilian head in the same set.
