General Marvel Legends

So, I've run a handful of searches looking for these Humanoids toys I distinctly remember from when I was a wee silverback, but have come up with zilch.
They were small, pink, made of a rubbery substance and they were very similar to those M.U.S.C.L.E. Men toys from Mattel, but they were Humanoids. They came in a multipack and would have been available in the late 70's or early 80's. Am I conflating things? Does anyone else remember these, or could I be having a stroke?

Diener Toys made erasers that were shaped like humans and aliens and what not during that time period - they were a mashup of toy and school supply. Maybe that?

Did the boxset spell out the name in the background so you buy three and get the full name?

I saw something like that at a collectibles shop recently. Very expensive.

@fac definitely very similar. From what I understand, the M.U.S.C.L.E dudes were more like erasers in Japan. I the US they were more squishy/stretchy, exactly like the Hulk Humanoids. In fact, when I first saw the images of them in one of my searches, I was like, "oh, there they are!". Nope.

Y'know, I was just thinking they MIGHT have been one of the many things I ordered from the ad pages from random comic books back then. And I ordered my share of crazy junk! ...like a Spider-Man web shooter that was basically a cheap plastic cuff with a tube of airplane glue. Good times.
Or, should I say, ...Good FUMES.

The MUSCLE figures I remember were not squishy or stretchy. I didn’t have them but my friend did, and they were closer to erasers. Maybe even more firm than that kind of rubber. Erasers could disintegrate. MUSCLE were like PVC plastic, the softer plastic on current action figures.

That's fine. I have no problem with that. Some purists may howl about it but I won't be one of them.
Also it’s a thing that’s been acknowledged as having happened now, so I don’t mind it as a signifier of early Kirby Hulk.

This is the packaging that I remember, no mention of Muscle Man or Ultimate that I recall:

I really enjoyed those when I was a kid, but I treated them like superheroes, rather than wrestling figures. I've been tempted, many times, to buy some, but I don't need to start any more collections.

This MUSCLE talk is cool and all, but should probably be forwarded over in the Nostalgia thread. The Kinnikuman/Keshi were released in various import/bootleg forms before, during, and after the MUSCLE run. Those had the softer/eraser type feel usually. I remember getting a lot of them out of capsule machines. But maybe you found some that were sold in sets. Could have been a different type of non Kinnikuman Keshi as well.
