G.I. Joe Classified Series

Why is retro card Snake Eyes so expensive and will he get a rerelease?
Walmart exclusive originally, I believe. Also number one most popular GI Joe character. Unlikely to get a rerelease, but the one that came with the polar bear is repping the same era. V2 hasn’t had a retro release yet either. That’s probably more likely.

How are folks separating the head from the neck on the greenshirt/cop figures? Holy crap, those suckers are on tight. I'm trying to pop one of htem onto an extra Law body but I cannot get them apart to save my life tonight.
Lots of heat from a hair dryer.

I use a heat gun on a low setting. Works better, especially on bigger figures when you need to heat joints up (like the 4H dragon to get his tail on properly).

Team hot water. I love knowing the entire figure is getting equal treatment and it's so easy to finesse things between hot and cold water.
I used to use hot water but then if the part cooled and I still need more, I would have to reheat the water. The hair dryer is right at my work station, easy to access and easier for repeated use. When I was taking apart those Punishers' glove cuffs, I tried heating all their arms at once, easy to do keeping them all in reach of the hot air. But it took so much time to take just one cuff off, I had to focus on each arm individually.

I smoked the skirt piece on the first Masterverse Teela with a heat gun (let me test my new battery operated DeWalt heat gun, he said). I'm close to a 50-50 split between hot tap water and hair dryer. Heated water if I need to soften glue.

Found Sci-Fi and Grim Viper x2 at my third Target of the day.

Mmmmm, skirt steak...

Sci-Fi and crew showing up at Target is stressing me out a lil bit cos I'm still playing chicken with Pulse and Amazon for who ships first.

EDIT: Just checked Target out of curiosity and saw the firefighter is discounted but not available to ship in my area and now I regret not picking up the one I saw on the shelf last weekend.

Water is great when you need to soften something inside, like the inner pegs on the butterfly joints. But water can be annoying when it stays in crevices. I used to note on Fwoosh every time I had a figure/accessory that wasn't water-tight, like JADA's Hadouken mold, until Robo made fun of me. Lol. Anyway, I've found that using hot air on the figure while it's in a container like a big coffee mug works great to evenly heat a figure without the mess or lingering effects of water. A second compressed air gun to cool them down is very helpful and the whole process ends up quicker than using water.

I just ordered a female torso from an eBay seller, and when I opened it up, it was wet. I assumed (and was correct) that it was due to the use of hot water to take apart the figure. Confirmed with the seller. Still, it was a little gross feeling that.

That is gross. I've had similar situations where I swap like a foot or hand on a figure, then swap it a week later and some stinky water drips out. That's when I started switching over to dry heat. At the very least if you use water I really recommend using a compressed air gun to dry it out as best as possible, ideally a plugin one, wouldn't want to used canned air because it's expensive and has accelerant in it.
