Lady Jaye DOES need a redo. I really would've thought Duke was in more episodes than Flint.

It really highlights the disconnect between the cartoon and the comic that Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow, whose relationship and history is arguably the center point/heart of the character-driven side of the comics, is barely explored in the cartoon. Different audience, different intent, different writers, but that gulf always intrigues me. The way Larry truly didn't like a lot of the characters the cartoon pushed so hard, the way the cartoons were often at odds if not completely contrary to the characters' nature on the page.

Heck, the cartoon establishes a completely different “rivalry” between Storm Shadow and Spirit, of all people. Soooo much meditating and faux-philosophy and light racism.

Right, those two characters have to be the biggest difference between the two mediums.

Yeah, I'd be interested how many cartoon characters actually paid any attention to the filecards.

Apparently Flint is in more episodes, but Duke has more screentime! In fact, Duke is second in overall screentime only to Cobra Commander.

I wonder if that's more to do with "safe" weapons vs her being a more interesting character?

And I can't even blame it on the miniseries because Duke was the main character of just the first five, then Jaye and the others were main characters for the second mini and ongoing series, so obviously Duke was a bigger deal in the main series than I remember.

Also, rewatching these episodes, it bothers me Flint does the "Yo joe!" in the opening sequence with Duke's voice still.
