G.I. Joe Classified One-A-Day Beamish-Style Figure Poll - #274 - Alley Viper (Resolute)

Lets not forget how great Duncan Regehr was as Dracula!
“Most badass Dracula moment ever”!!!!

He’s fucking fantastic, yo.

He’s so untouchable and above it all and amusedly unconcerned (most of the time) and that is so cool. Also his whole “look” is the best-ever expression of “Halloweeen Decoration Dracula of Pop Culture” EVER.

“Give me the amulet you BITCH.”

“. . . bogus.”

Day 254b - Gung-Ho - (RAH) (5/24/26)

Rumor Week continues with another classic from 1987!

In a heartbeat, yeah.
I have very limited idea why, but I loved dress blues Gung-Ho a LOT as a kid. I used him for all kinds of different stuff. I think he even spent a lot of time as like a civil war Union officer fighting confederates. Accurate? Not at all. But kid-me didn't care.

Ehhhh I’m torn.
I skipped him deliberately as a kid, by that time I was 9 and had grown way out of wanting any military accuracy. I think he’s maybe the only 1987 figure I didn’t buy.
But he’s very cool.

But my biggest qualm is that I simply don’t want to support the “real world” military (of any specific country) in this line. I’ve got no problem with other lines wanting to be specific recreations of military in the real world, but those wouldn’t be lines I’d want to collect.

Fair. If I didn't have -specific- nostalgia tied to that ARAH figure, I'd almost certainly feel the same way. Plus, I'm fully on board with saying that a 'dress uniform' figure is actually boring as fuck since, in theory, he shouldn't be doing anything fun in that outfit.
But.. nostalgia tug is the ..hardest tug? ... Yeah, I'm sticking with that.

Fastdraw - Sure. He looks like he's covered in bubble wrap thou, so they might need to work on the detail

Gung-Ho - Legacy line maybe, make him an extra swapable head. When I first saw him as a kid I imagined he was exposed to the same virus that hit the Enterprise in the original Star Trek that mad Sulu go around with no shirt and swinging his sword, and he was chasing after Cobra in that uniform while Doc was trying to get him back to the hospital.

I might feel more inclined for Gung-Ho in his dress blues, if we had more Joes in their dress uniforms. Even in the RAH line there was almost no dress uniform representation. Why? As said above, the Joes don’t “do anything fun” in dress uniforms.
There were occasions they wore them in the comics, but not really for action. I’d consider him in a three pack or multipack with other characters in their dress uniforms, because then it would seem so odd but it’s not a pressing desire right now.

This is my hesitation right here, too. Though I did have him as a kid and I have a tendency to want the version of the characters that "survived" childhood (aka didn't get lost, broken, stolen, destroyed by my younger brothers) and dress blues was the Gung Ho ho made it so I'd probably get him, but my love of this line is so based on an idealized version of characters we don't get in real life that I kinda grit my teeth at this version of him and don't know that I want him. I think this might be the only "America, fuck yeah!" Joes figure I'd pick up.
