G.I. Joe Classified One-A-Day Beamish-Style Figure Poll - #149 - Ninja-Ku (International Repaint)

Day 148b - Shooter - (Unproduced RAH) (2/7/26)

I may have underestimated the interest the SLUG Driver might gain, but how about a really weird one? Apparently Hasbro produced THOUSANDS of drawings like this for characters that never got beyond the initial design stage. Putting aside how much I'd love to just see those, this is one they did for 'Shooter', which is obviously a name they've since used for someone on the other side. Designed to be the Cobra Sniper, Shooter appears to have a remote controlled, shoulder-mounted rifle. Maybe Classified could make this guy really neat.

Slug Driver is an absolute yes. Even without the vehicle. In fact, I kind of want the vehicle and multiples of the driver since he looks like he'd be a great generic Cobra infantryman.

Shooter is dumb and that design can stay where it belongs; in someone's 'this idea sucks' file folder in Hasbro's 3rd lowest basement level.

We're really scraping the bottom of the barrel...
I get why it seems that way but we're only on day 148, and I've got enough for over 900 days, but I also did plan ahead so the lame ones are spread throughout, as are the awesome ones. I didn't want to just focus entirely on RAH for the first year or what have you, though we have already covered everyone from 82-84 and most of 85 already.

I would buy a sniper based off old designs, but that original design is legit awful. It feels like they were trolling Jim with it. Is that a diver's mask and a sniper rifle mounted to his shoulder like closet cosplay Predator?

The Shooter they did for the Joes is based off this reference from Marvel’s GI Joe #1:
The name was used in honor of Jim Shooter. The character didn’t fully appear until Declassified #1.
This Shooter of today’s offering is… well I don’t know what that is, but it’s a pass for me.

I mean, it got potential to be an interesting figure, it needs to be Classified'd up. (Is that used properly? I fell asleep on the episodes of School House Rock that covered adverbs and such)
