(I had pictures put the App is being obnoxious and won't let me hit Submit, so I'll try to source them later.)
Friend of mine ordered the Special Edition FogToys Fantasy Alphabet M last year from BBTS, hoping for Christmas, but it made my summer birthday. Total surprise, but, "it's a hot badass woman and a mech so it looked like something you'd want."
The figure is on the Tunshi female body, which you may own from Metal Slug Fio, Leona, and Eri. The body is tanner than those, but the head can swap and pass. Most importantly, I do not judge these figures to be compatible aesthetically, because the Metal Slug line has big stylized cartoon head proportions, and M's head is smaller. Smaller than a Classified Scarlett or Rattler Baroness, and I've mentioned elsewhere that Baroness head seems smaller than the prior Crimson one.
However, it does look good and still proportional, just more... Moebius to the other figures' Bruce Timm head size.
The articulation range is better because these shorts are looser. I find the Slug figures finicky, having to move fabric around the hips. Here they just work. You get double knees, double elbows. All the alternate hands are oversized gloves that bring to mind Gully from Battle Chasers. Not as large but they do look like actual work gloves went over her hands, and she does not have regular hands. You still get all your grips and open hands and one trigger hand, although she has no gun.
The feet pop off with ease which is nice because the special edition comes with alternate pants and a jacket. Instead of short shorts, you can have baggy clam diggers. The boots are also done in two pieces to aid articulation, I find that over engineered but it also doesn't bother me. The jacket restricts things a little until you start pulling it around the arms and shoulders. It's tight. Without the jacket she just has a grey tube top.
She also comes with a wired shawl, poncho, kind of like Dredd in Cursed Earth. It's just a piece of fabric with an l-shaped wire running through it, but it works. Everything is weathered and looks gorgeous. She has optional kneepads, which like the Metal Slugs, just elastic strap on.
You get two heads, the regular sexy face and then one that looks like she's chewing her lip spacing out about something she can't quite bring to the forefront of her mind. It works for storytelling.
Her belt is done in a magnet which is really cool. Better than the little Mezco clasps I'm always fidgeting with. You could store many of her tools on her person, and then she's got a little tool bin you can toss the rest in. One touch I like is she has these little canisters, and it does plug in to one of her welding tools as a fuel tank.
You also get some scrap just to add to the aesthetic of the dump bin.
That's right, she is a scrapper, and she gets around on her little raptor chocobo mech thing. This bipedal wheeled mini metal gear articulates, has working pistons, rubber wheels, and has bunch of little articulation points on the control panel that lets you emote with it. There's a big dump bin on the back that you can keep everything in and it takes me back to my days as a dump truck driver.
The headlight is supposed to light up but it doesn't have batteries and I don't even know how you'd install them if you could. The instructions say that you can take one at the scrap engine parts with a magnet and tap it much like the YOLO Park transformers, but it ain't working out of the box.
You had to assemble it with snapping chassis parts, and some of it was questionable and one detail was very small, but it looks great. Weathered, painted. It's got decals to customize it.
There was a translucent yellow chassis variant mech without the figure that appears to have come and gone.
I haven't seen anything else about the future of this line, and the first dude with his own speeder is gone, but when as a one off, I think she's up with Roman key Jessica Aster in my top 2.
It just exudes mech, Chocobo, Acid Rain World, Fallout, 16-bit gaming style in a modern detailed figure and mech kit, and I want to get other techno junk things to world build.
