I saw a guy on Reddit that made a nice ML Domino custom using the Shriek arms and legs. I'm still mad about having my order cancelled on the three pack with her, Rictor and Cannonball a long time ago, so I figured I could make my own. I found a cheap enough Shriek, and she arrived Friday. Saturday night I started the boil and pop. Her legs and arms are pinless, and her arms are double elbowed so it gives a lot more ROM to the figure over all. I swapped over the feet from the original Domino figure, and overall I'm happy. I'm waiting on a couple of gauntlet parts, and then she will be complete. Once I have all the parts, I'll take some better pictures.

What really catches my eye is how the white stripes from Shriek's shoulders line up with Domino's white skin. Don't know if that was planned or a happy accident, but it works SO well, and makes me want to copy the idea. I would want to maintain the leg armor, just because it's a unique sculpt that adds character, but not necessarily at the cost of Shriek's pinless knee joints, which clearly you prefer. I wonder where I can scrounge some removable leg armor options should I go this route. Anyway, I love swap customs, and I love your Domino because of that.

The original custom (seen here) looks like they painted the shoulders to cover that white. I 1) liked it 2) am too lazy to paint that little bit. I got the gauntlets in yesterday, but haven't taken any new pictures yet. You could, leave the original legs if you want the armor. Pinless isn't a prerequisite for me, I just wanted to do the same custom as him (minus the gun belt). The arms have a MUCH better ROM, and the poses you can get are fantastic. All that being said, the shoulder on the right arm of mine is a bit loose, but it isn't anything I can't deal with. She's gonna be posed and left as is anyway.

Last night I dusted off the paints and brushes and did some work. I'm still not 100% done, but it's pretty close. I was not happy with Classified Lifeline. Not with how he looked. He's spot on, and that's great. The figure was...poor. Nothing sat right on him. His helmet and glasses were a pain to get on and actually look good. I saw a couple of customs on FB just painting Lifeline more realistic colors, but I wanted nothing to do with the base figure. I reimagined him as an Air Force Pararescue Jumper (PJ). Yes, that means he's not a pacifist, just like he was originally written. The head and neck are Lifeline. Body is the Classified Action Soldier Special Forces figure. Vest is mainly Doc, with some of the SF figure pouches. I wanted to use Lifeline's hands as well, but found the wrist peg was too small, so I found some random ones in my stash of extras. The rifle is from a new place I found that has a great selection of real-world, Joe, and Star Wars weapons. I'll have more on them in a later review. I didn't do a lot of painting, mostly some washes, and dry brushing. I painted a bit on the mag pouch up front.

Less talk, more pictures.
