I like them separate but if they're combined I think the thread should keep the more general "Marvel Legends Two-Packs" title. In a month or so we won't be talking about that Iron Man set but there will be new 2 packs people want to discuss. Anyone wanting to do that wouldn't necessarily think...
This one issue right here. Champion's first appearance and a classic story about what makes Ben Grimm who he is. It's not Watchmen or the Dark Phoenix saga by any means but it's a fun story with a lot of heart.
Happy birthday SDcomics! I always enjoy your posts and your recollections from SDCCs past.
Selfishly I hope Hasbro grants some of your birthday figure wishes this year (in addition to Jim Hammond). Swordsman and Mantis for the win!
Yes to Maximus, with several options being fine. Green armored Handbook, silver 60s armor, red and gold Avengers, even the burlap sack Handbook vol. 1 look! (bottom left...this was the only image of it I could find online)
Yes please to classic Handbook Unus. They could reuse the safari jacket Wonder Man/Capcom Nick Fury turtle neck upper torso. Super easy X-Men villain to slot into a wave.
I'm a little bit younger (turned 50 this year) but definitely getting too old for even the nostalgia offerings of Legends. Things like the Capcom figures and the 90s cartoon stuff. I'm not against those things being made because I want everyone to get what they want, but I'm not ready to be...
I suppose paying more for certain characters doesn't bother me as much because I don't buy many other lines. I don't collect Joes or Transformers or Mythic Legions or any of that. I'll pick up an occasional MOTU figure out of nostalgia or the NECA Universal Monsters (which has been a grand total...
The made-to-order model is possibly Hasbro dipping a toe in the higher end boutique market. And honestly I'm kinda okay with that. I wouldn't mind getting ten $50 figures a year if that's the only way to get them. If Swordsman and Baron Blood are too far removed from mass retail to be profitable...
If Marrina/Namorita is coming then they could recycle that torso for Coachwhip, but then they'd likely just paint on the gloves and boots. I think I'd rather have it all flat gold/yellow than partially scaled and partially not.
Yes please, costumed version. As others have said I'd be okay with his powered up form being a pack in...basically something on a stand that could recreate that third image and I'd be happy.
Yep, pic #7 for me. Not the most exciting costume but that look would represent that era of X-Men on the shelf pretty well with Maggot and Marrow (and a Joseph please!)
YES!!! Unicorn is a big want. Assuming we only get one go at him I'd prefer the later costume (images 5 and 6) but if we could get the first two costumes as well I'd buy those in a second.
Yes to classic Handbook Nekra!
A 2-pack with Mandrill would be a dream but honestly a 2-pack with re-released Shanna in cheetah print deco would be pretty great too. A nice make-good for those of us who couldn't get the Savage Land set, especially if she was closer to her classic look
I'm up by 5:30a every day for work so I was able to be on Target's site at 6am. But I only got Storm; the thicker pinless legs and double jointed elbows on Mystique look great but are they $33 (after tax and shipping) great? Not really. The Walgreen's Mystique is standing fine on the shelf with...
I'm so in for Dr. Demonicus! Characters like Dr. Doom and Thanos make comics great, but characters like ol' Demonicus make comics fun. He'd be a very welcome addition to the villains shelf.
