I think it was most likely for the logo to work. Techromancer is a long word, hard to fit on a game case, but if you look at the final logo they split it so it could stack. I'd bet money that's why it ended up that way.

Though I think some of the prices there are outrageous (depending on the BAF), ebay is still usually cheaper for BAFs than a full wave purchase.

This was what I was getting at with some of my comments re: what the fiction should be responsible for and how much realism is warranted in a story about a man dressing like a bat to take on sentient piles of clay. I think of it the same way I think of characters like Raylan Givens. Raylan is...

The thing I mainly remember Dreamcast for was a game called Tech Romancer. Despite the VERY misleading name (I think they want it to read as though it didn't have the space, but it totally had that space and that did not help), it was actually a fighting game where all the characters were riffs...

What about using one of the "feet" to grab someone and smash them into the ground, but thereby using that as a sort of makeshift foot for more balance?

    Hasbro possibly doing Tron?

Part of it is what @Damien said, and also a lot of times there's not enough final art to do toys until later in the process. Remember Endgame where the time travel suits were totally done in post and likely were tweaked until months if not weeks before final release. You can do Legos in synch...

Yeah. Like I say It's still ahead of a lot of stuff I've seen on places like Etsy, but it's not invisible. The geometry of the piece also has a lot to do with how noticeable it is. I'm sure it's a combo of compromises being made with regards to print/finishing times and profitability.

This is why one of the few political art pieces I've drawn was Trump as the Grand Nagus from Star Trek. He's not a supervillain. That's an insult to supervillains. He's a disgusting, venal troll king who everyone should recognize as a joke on sight.

Right. There's a practical limit to how much an ongoing franchise superhero book with soap opera plotting can actually do (or should do, for that matter) to address real world moral issues. In much the same way even the best written Western will never actually contain the final word on, say, a...

Indeed, I do mean chattel slavery here. That said, I do believe people always have a range of outlooks, frequently more modern than folks would suspect, and some are simply better documented historically simply because, for a lot of history, only one class had access to the means to preserve...

    General Marvel Legends

Yep. The moment there was slavery there were abolitionists. People today are not fundamentally distinct from people's of yesteryear, and almost anytime you really dig in, you find shockingly "enlightened" views held wayyyy earlier than many tend to believe. I never read that one, but I once...

Also why the "does this letter on my head stand for France?" line is so bad. Steve knows about the French resistance, guys. Steve Rogers would RESPECT THE SHIT out of the French resistance. That line is a modern, revisionist American take on the French. That's a 2000's conservative's line about...

These are the guys doing all the weapons and gear sculpts for the Monster Force and other FMF lines. Their stuff is really nice (I've bought from them before). The only issue is if you are buying direct from them the stuff is all 3d printed as opposed to injection molded. There are some *very...

Y'know I'll revise my statement on this. You're right. Social media has allowed us real-time access to at least some billionaires and their thought processes in a way we didn't have before. And it definitely has opened a window on just how banal, ignorant, and just plain shitty they are. Good...

I think there's a fundamental tension in superhero comics not necessarily because we know more about rich people now (because, I mean, rich people were pretty obviously immoral shitheels since time immemorial and rarely hid it) but rather because we're all older, and comics started to grow up...

    Operation Monster Force

It blew me away. And Doc Savage has one of the most easy to remember costumes ever. It was harder to recall Hawkgirl's costume. My only explanation is they simply had no idea who he was at all, and thus didn't want to take a stab at it and screw up in some weird way.

And if you can believe it, this was like 15 years ago even. I can't even blame the kids. I was practically a kid at the time.

Yeah, and I think that's the original use too, it just got picked up by a lot of internet weirdos who just like to shit on superheroes.

Sure, I mean, if we were living in the real world every superhero is in deep need of therapy, and not for any of the stuff that happens to them while superheroing. Waaaay before that. Excuse me, Mr. Parker, you seem to have survivor's guilt leading to suicidal ideation. let's talk about that. I...

My favorite two takes on Batman are one: The Mask of the Phantasm examination of Bruce when he's starting out. How Bruce actually *is* healing on his own, and when he meets Andrea he legitimately starts moving away from becoming the Dark Knight. I LOVE the moment he's at his parents grave and...

One nice thing that happened to me at shows, because I had this weird, not very popular print assortment, I would get oddball commission requests. One of my favorite was where this young lady comes up to me and is like "I'd like a commission, but I've asked 3 other artists and none of them will...
