I also recently discovered this line too late to pick up their Mantis at retail.

Ah ha! Thanks for the confirmation, @cmoney.

Prime 1 Studio Dynamic Arts (Evangelion, more?)

This was my exact thought, as well. It's a really busy design, like if Michael Bay put an EVA in one of his Transformers movies. It feels like the designer/sculptor was a freelancer who didn't know that's actually a bio-mechanical life form and not just a giant robot.

Amazon. The big box retailers used to be the big kids on the block so they could afford to be courteous. Then Amazon took their lunch money. Now the big box guys are all scrappy and hungry for the crumbs they used to overlook.

    Four Horsemen Studios Mythic Legions

The All-In orders for All Stars 6 have been shipped out to customers, but for the folks who ordered just a few figures from that wave, those orders are supposed to arrive at the 4H warehouse sometime in early July.

    Infinite Legions from Four Horsemen

From the Battle Beasts Wiki: "In 2011 Takara Tomy announced the Beast Saga line, a spiritual successor to the original figures. The line focuses on three factions - land, air and sea. The fire/wood/water battling mechanism was replaced by a dice launcher which enables a dice battle game between...

    Infinite Legions from Four Horsemen

Infinite Legions is their collaboration line, in which they'll be releasing other toy designer's characters in the 4H style. Here's a lengthy video they posted that goes over all the details and history, if you have time and interest: Infinite Legions I still have a bunch of Glyos figures from...

Huh, I thought Universal had abandoned their "Dark Universe" plans after The Mummy was such a flop.

@docsilence The new hands work on the old 1.0 wrists. I bought the same hand pack and distributed them among my skellies. If you're having a hard time getting Atilla's head to stick on a neck, sticking a bit of putty or tack in the socket will do the trick without permanently modifying anything.

That reminds me! I think it was you, @Ashtalon who asked me to follow up on my recent Ali Express purchase of some Gunpla parts. I was charged that additional fee up front, but nothing later down the delivery chain.

JFC Toys RoboCop: The Villains of Old Detroit 7-inch figures

I love the first RoboCop movie, but I imagine that $70 per henchman is a non-starter for most collectors. I understand why they cost what they do, but it feels like this company didn't put a lot of thought into their business model. The face sculpts are all great, but I feel like they really...

CREATIVE BEAST STUDIOS Beasts of the Meso/Ceno/Cyberzoic

If I've done my math correctly, a 1:18 Argentinosaurus would be between 5.5 and 8.5 feet long, but a 1:18 Amphicoelia would only be a little over 3 feet long. However, even that 3' range would still make it an expensive, niche toy. 1:35 seems more likely and it would still be an engineering...

And here I was thinking I might be one of the young ones from '85. I was the target demographic when the Turtles cartoon came out and I loved it as a kid. I even saw the Coming Out of Their Shells tour, which my friends later convinced me was a dream until the internet could finally vindicate...

Bought some Gunpla accessories on Ali Express and had a $12 tariff charge tacked onto my $36 order. I added and dropped a few things from my cart just to experiment and it looks like they're charging a roughly 30% tariff fee. I wanted the parts enough that I still made the purchase, but that...

I'll dog pile on the recommendations for Reuters and The AP. I don't think Ted Turner realized what kind of Pandora's Box he was opening when he created the first 24 hour news channel with CNN, but the need to fill a 24 hour cycle with content so people don't click away is what finally killed...

Now that Super7 has already laid off 75% of their designers, I'd be fine if they folded altogether. Their ReAction figures have become as tired and stale as Funko Pops and they've failed to exercise basically any quality control over their Ultimates line for five years. Furthermore, whenever a...

CREATIVE BEAST STUDIOS Beasts of the Meso/Ceno/Cyberzoic

No one's wrong in criticizing the limited range of motion on the Smilodon, but I think this line seems to value anatomical realism over kinesthetic realism. That Zabu figure can move the way it does because it has those ball-jointed shoulders and hips that stick out from its relatively broad...

Old Joe missed the PR opportunity of a lifetime when didn't award Mike Pence the Presidential Medal of Freedom for standing up to Trump on January 6th. The comparison to A Tale of Two Cities feels very appropriate. However, I think when most Americans picture the French Revolution, they picture storming the Bastille, decapitating Louis and Marie, and Liberty with her breasts out. I think we tend to gloss over the Reign of Terror in which the...
