Those Byrne covers are basically this summer's Barbenheimer.

    General Marvel Legends

I'm ready for an Iceman. I can't tell is his head sculpt has any of the faceted surfaces I'd want on him, but it was a clever dodge to include ice clip-ons. That belt's comings off, though. Now sure why they keep insisting he has a big ol' belt.

    Operation Monster Force

I thought they were maybe a bunch of headless soldiers, but I can do that with my figures now.

    Operation Monster Force

There is Mr. Legacy, the foremost historian of the arcane. He comes with a couple spellbooks, but his bio avoids saying if he himself is a magician. Also, there are a few characters in their 1/18 O:MF line and one of them, the Advocate, has this in his description: I asked about them over on...

    Operation Monster Force

I'm sure krakens/lagoon creatures are on the short list. They'll probably come with frog heads or something so they can sell them as Deep Ones, but they'll have alternate heads to recreate the Palitoy figure for sure. I rapid-fired my wishlist a while back, but aside from Mr. Hyde, I can't...

    TTRPGs & D&D

I have everything Beyond the Wall. I've never played it, but i find a lot of the world-building really smart. I especially like how they turn setting creation itself into a shared game. It's basically the players will suggest some rumors or adventure sites they've heard of, and the DM will...

    Star Wars Black Series

The Stranger's fight choreography was really good, and I liked the introduction of cortosis, but I think they really benefitted from some causality slight of hand. Spoilers if you haven't seen it yet He murders a bunch of nameless Jedi and you're, like, not at all shocked. But it convinces...

    Star Treks - Personal Logs

I'll be honest, I don't think I can take a whole episode of Ortegas talking to herself. You guys let me know how it turned out.

    Star Wars Black Series

I think Marvel did this to themselves, and DC's about to follow the path. They can produce shows of different themes and styles, but then make them all the latest episode of an ongoing series. So you've got people like me, who wouldn't necessarily be interested in a Thunderbolts-type movie...

    Operation Monster Force

Bill Murphy of Fresh Monkey boldly admitted they were using AI for their packaging art, and I like to think that he was really surprised at how much negative reaction he got for it. I don't have those figures, so I don't know if they ultimately shipped with that art or if/when the practice...

    Operation Monster Force

If you're not familiar with Fresh Monkey's 4" line, they've got you covered. I'm hoping many of their homage characters make it to the 6" line.

    Longbox Heroes 1/12 Scale

I used to be one of those snooty bastards who would claim to have been a fan of the Tick *before* it was a kid's cartoon, but I don't actually remember a different look for Arthur in the comic. So I guess I'm actually one of you common people now.

    Longbox Heroes 1/12 Scale

I've no direct knowledge, but it's possible that different companies own the property rights to the cartoon characters vs the comic characters.

    Operation Monster Force

Distinct from what you said, but I hold that if someone's playing a  gully dwarf because they like playing an idiot no matter how disruptive it is to the table, I'll ban the hell out of it. I've no problem banning races or classes if i don't like them at the table. That's how we roll in...

    Continuing my MCU rewatch

Thanks, Schizm. Those are pretty awesome and I hadn't seen any of that yet. "So what? You love to fight." That's pretty good. I like that they still went with the smart defeat of Cull. It's a hard argument why a smart Hulk is better than a savage Hulk. I wonder what the rematch with Thanos was...

    G.I. Joe Classified Series

So generous. That would take care of the "red-helmeted pilot head when I squint" part of the problem. But I don't think I can even take the plane apart to store (or ship) it again. "Rattler." More like "Albatross," amIright?

    G.I. Joe Classified Series

I finally got my Rattler set up on my shelf next to my Dragonfly. And I kind of hate it. Like, it's huge and cool when you're holding it, but displayed it's just a big hunk of blue plastic with maybe a red-helmeted pilot head visible if you squint at it enough. It takes up too much space and...

    Continuing my MCU rewatch

That's all new to me. I do believe that the Hulk running with the crew moment in the trailer was *just* for the trailer, though. Kind of like how they didn't show all the Stones Thanos had at any moment to keep things unspoiled. I've heard complaints, but I kind of like a trailer that's more...

    Continuing my MCU rewatch

Yeah, I guess I do. Oop. Full agreement, actually. I had come away thinking they'd managed to give everyone something cool to do, but I can't think of anything cool these three did. Wait, Steve did spend half the movie saying "we don't trade lives" and making the absolute wrongest call since...

    Operation Monster Force

@ManOfTheLamb Hah! That Santa. I waffled endlessly on adding that Check It Twice Santa to my MF team. Like, once a year they team up with Santa Clause (who is as real as Dracula and Frankenstein) to fend Krampus' annual attacks. Eventually CIT Santa sold out, so it's no longer a temptation...

    Operation Monster Force

Good news! I checked Robo's first wave review and it looks like they all have neutral gradient inserts and not backdrops. So now I have to figure out where the two inserts belong that I found while searching to see if I'd kept the Monster Force ones.
