    Mini Comic Wave 2

Man Without Fear is a great, great book, so I'm excited for Tracksuit Daredevil. That's one of the few corners of the line I reliably purchase. I'm not even sure I like Matt all that much (my loyalty's with Elektra, really), but he's got a ton of great comics.

That is not the case. The answer, as is only right and natural, is Pokémon. (Seriously, it's the only one here with a line for "Jet aircraft livery sales.")

    Marvel Legends Gamerverse

Absolutely hyped about the Punisher/Fury set. I wonder if being part of the Marvel vs. Capcom collection helped this along. That's the most attention that game's received since it came out.

Hey, does anyone else here have a Letterboxd account? Feel free to add me if you want to ask questions like, "Why is the last movie you watched 1980's Terror on Tour?"

    TTRPGs & D&D

I've never played Traveller before, but as soon as you mentioned its character creation, I was reminded of this. I think my favorite character creation process in an RPG is from an indie RPG called Beyond the Wall, which is a low-magic YA fantasy setting with an OSR game system. The character...

How are you liking the Alien RPG? I really enjoy the Free League stuff I have (Tales from the Loop and Blade Runner).

Well the answer certainly isn't as embarrassing as, "I didn't realize we had one." Also, I forget that the userbase here is actually really cool/non-MAGA so I don't need to stay away from the lounge.

As long as we're talking TTRPGs, I'm a big fan of this Savage Worlds setting. It'd be a great way to thread the needle between civilian and cyberpunk-style characters: (I will never get over this game being brilliant enough to make the vaporwave glow aesthetic a core plot and worldbuilding...

    Operation Monster Force

So I'm looking at that page, and I'm a little concerned about something - are they using AI art now? I'm finding it tough to find attribution for the character images for that line and being online in 2025 has made me distrustful of literally anything I see.

Jack Burton's truck breaking down somewhere in the Appalachians while he's surrounded by raven mockers, or Jack Burton in Canada unable to comprehend what a wendigo is and why the Algonquins are warning him so urgently about it. We should have had so many movies about him bumbling through every...

Not that McFarlane doesn't mismanage lines all the time, but I really have to wonder if there's something in the appeal or audience of both GoT and Harry Potter that action figures never get off the ground for long with either. Traditional fantasy stuff seems to have a ceiling at big box retail...

I kind of enjoy that whenever Mad Max comes up as a possibility everyone seems to have quietly agreed to forget the N2 Road Warrior line ever happened. They had such great licenses and such bad figures.

I don't know, I've met some of my heroes, no complaints there. And the dead ones sound cool as hell; Rod Serling alone convinced me to never let anyone get away with that, "they were just a product of their time" jazz. I think people tend to show you who they are pretty readily and we just have...

    McFarlane DC Multiverse

Not having Canary has felt for a long time like the real big sticking point for a lot of people (Lack Canary?). I was hoping on a Lady Shiva and a Katana, and the latter seemed at least a little possible, but looks like I'm going to have to see what Mattel does there.

Japan and Indonesia are still doing incredible fight choreography. Those would be the first two countries I'd look into for modern stuff. I'd definitely check out the Baby Assassins films from Japan and Timo Tjahjanto's stuff for Indonesia (plus The Raid films if you haven't seen those yet)...
