    Star Wars Black Series

I think the story of the Rebel Alliance coming together is a good one and feels unique to the setting. It's just something I felt satisfied with by the end of Clone Wars and definitely into Rebels. I'm personally not interested in additional stories of different Rebels doing different things...

Like watching the history of the United States by watching the history of each state.

    Star Wars Black Series

I remember rolling my eyes hard when Enfys was revealed to be a beginning of the Resistance. Not only did it feel off-tone for Han at this point, but I'd already had my fill with birth of the rebellion in Clone Wars and Rebels. And then they did it again in Andor. Just so much birth of the...

Now that I think about it, I guess they figure nobody is going to buy just a WilyKat or Tomax. So they lure you in with a half-off of one, and you're compelled to pay full price for the other.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding. Is the heater really the best place for plastic toys?

Just WilyKat? It's like when just Tomax was on sale.

Right? Jean's boots were so off-shade that might as well just have been green. My preferred Kitty is the green Ariel suit. She only wore it for a brief period, all told, but that's exactly the time frame I'm basing my collection in.

I don't know about the figures, but the actual prop replicas look pretty dope. I think I might like a "working" prop phaser and communicator.

    Operation Monster Force

I asked over on socials, and Bill Murphy said Red's hood will have some wire that should help it keep the proper shape.

I used to be anti-cloth, but recently I've seen some figures with some very thin fabric that I think scales better. Black Series Dooku, fer instance. Hoods remain a problem, though, since they don't have the weight to settle right around a head. Anxious to see, though.

Not a chance. She hasn't even been put up for pre-order yet. I think we still have some Soldiers of Fortune, Crimson Shadow, Dark Directive, and OMF Wave 3 to get through.

From the original art she had a half-cape and hood. The art showed two styles, one leaving the left arm exposed and the other the right. I was curious how one cape could do both, but I guess soft goods is the answer.

FMF showed the grayscale for Red Riding Hood and her stuff. I've already made up my mind how I'd kit her out, but I am intrigued by what looks like rapid-fire rocket crossbow bolts.

Daaang. Bridge stations are such a great part of a Star Trek display. That would be another hit against 7" figures if Nacelle didn't appear to be so accessory happy.

    Action Force and Valaverse

*I* had a dedicated Action Force shelf, but it was the first one to come down when I needed room for Monster Force. And I still have two shelves of Lightning Collection on display, if that tells you anything. Having a connection to the unique characters really would help stretch the idea of a...

    Action Force and Valaverse

This is the catch 22 of Action Force, I think. I was interested in it specifically for its more real world military aesthetic, but Bobby and I must've realized in real time how boring that can be after a certain amount of figures. The Praetorians and the Swarm figures have to be his most...

I was curious how they'd do the pre-fish versions, since they were fully different bodies. So at least that's answered. I'm sure I'll never use them, though. Why would I want a non-fish Tigershark? Might as well do pre-op Silverhawks. I do like that Octavia has swappable tentacles. That seems...

There's a robot-skull-headed dude they sketched out for a future Crimson Shadow wave. On the one hand, a robot Skull head is NOT cooler than a brain in a jar. On the other hand, he has a cigarette. I love the idea of a robot man smoking a cigarette. I kind of want to buy it so I can give...

    Operation Monster Force

I skipped the Forgotten King. The mask is cool, but otherwise he's kind of boring. Especially when you have characters like Dr. Caligari and the sleepwalkers standing right there. I'm hoping we get a cool, wrapped mummy version at some point. I would a female mummy with, like, a golden...

    Big Bad Workshop General

One of the things that got me most excited about Monster Force was that the figures were such a cool sort of gonzo that they inspired me to make up my own lore. I'd been mostly a nostalgia collector up until now, but here was something that had my 50 year old brain making up stories like I was...

Yeah, they spent a lot of time trying to convince me why Declan's cousin's head sculpt was a real treasure. Now, it is a cool story that he's a sleeper agent werewolf, but if that doesn't reflect on the toy itself, it doesn't matter.
