    Mattel DC Figures

And unlike McFarlane, hopefully they plan this well upfront. McFarlane clearly never had a plan on buck reuse, leading to a lot of questionable reuse when they then decided it wasn’t worth it doing all unique sculpts anymore.

    NECA - General Thread

In the past 25 years there have only been two main action figure lines, with really big gap in between. And the NECA line should be mostly compatible with Palisades in style and scale. Even if NECA drops the ball, you can backfill a lot of characters with Palisades, and I doubt we will ever...

    Mattel DC Figures

Thanks, @secondwhiteline for that wrestling rundown. That, all translated to DC (except the chase variants), would be awesome.

Muppets (including The Muppet Show, Sesame Street, Fraggle Rock)

Big Bird is up on EE, $10 cheaper than BBTS. Worth it if you can hit the free shipping threshold. https://www.entertainmentearth.com/product/sesame-street-ultimate-big-bird-7inch-scale-action-figure/nc08613

Muppets (including The Muppet Show, Sesame Street, Fraggle Rock)

NECA’s stuff seems to be a little bigger than Palisades, but close enough. And yeah I have the DST figures, but they don’t compare to what Palisades did as far as I’m concerned. Going Palisades style/scale (mostly) was the right call for NECA.

    NECA '87 Toon TMNT

So, maybe I’m just being a bit pedantic, but the press release from Mattel and Paramount for TMNT doesn’t say “master license” anywhere, so is this something that is normally inferred from these statements rather than explicitly stated, or is everyone just assuming? Don’t get me wrong, they...

    Ghostbusters General Thread

It was stated at some point last year that there would be a cheaper version without the desk. Plans may have changed, but that is what Mondo said at the time.

    Star Trek

Yes, Palisades got the license and preorders went out for the Kirk and Roddenberry two-pack, but retailers weren't interested, and then they went bankrupt. There are some actual samples out there, they've popped up on eBay a few times.

Muppets (including The Muppet Show, Sesame Street, Fraggle Rock)

They said they've been working on Muppets for a long time, so I don't think they would suddenly be shifting schedules to accommodate. It sounded to me like they put such little product out last year because they ran into manufacturing issues (specifically mentioned for Oscar), and of course...

    Super Powers

I’d be surprised if they don’t offer cases with one of each in a wave like they were before. I have no issues with EE’s service, but their shipping charges are excessive. I generally don’t order from them unless I can exceed the free shipping threshold.

    Star Trek

I’ve wanted a Gene Roddenberry figure since Palisades showed theirs years ago, and I’ll happily buy this set, but it would have been even cooler to put them both in era-specific Starfleet uniforms. There are plenty of images/drawings of Ball in various TOS era uniforms. For Roddenberry, there...

    Mattel DC Figures

Pixel Dan with a hands on look at MOTU Chronicles... This may be a good idea of what we’ll see in the DC collector line, at least in terms of style and articulation. Just imagine it is Warlord, or even better Shining Knight and Winged Victory…

    McFarlane DC Multiverse

The leaks are probably still happening, but does that cover the entire year? Playmates is doing the same thing with TMNT, it doesn’t seem like what they showed covers the entire year but they said that is it. It looks like Mattel’s last DC wave came out in August 2019. There may be...

    McFarlane DC Multiverse

AIC did an interview with McFarlane at Toy Fair and asked him about DC. Through a whole lot of rambling, my interpretation is: Super Powers with Entertainment Earth maybe continues past this year? There isn’t much more to show for Multiverse. They have nothing else worked out with WB right...

    McFarlane DC Multiverse

Well, the original Liberty Belle wasn’t a JSA member. If you want her, you have to do the All-Star Squadron, and that would be my all-time favorite team in action figure form. Every Golden Age/Earth-2 hero in one, all encompassing line.

    NECA - General Thread

Anyone know if the Trick or Treat Leprechaun figure will fit in with NECA's horror stuff? The listings say 8-inch scale, and I'm assuming they are using the term correctly and therefore he should be fudgeable with 1:10/7-inch scale, but I haven't seen the actual height listed.

Maybe rat army builders. That would be cool.

    Super Powers

From the Kenner Super Powers Facebook group, posted by someone who indicated that they met with McFarlane Toys today at Toy Fair. Someone else noted in the same thread that they’ve seen unreleased sculpts of female figures, and Daniel Pickett of AFI posted ages ago in the same group (when...

Muppets (including The Muppet Show, Sesame Street, Fraggle Rock)

Yes, and a “Haulathon exclusive” per Trevor, but he is saying that about a lot of items that are generally just first to market rather than exclusive, so I’m really hoping he is just using the wrong term here…

    Super Powers

I want the Darkseid Tower of Darkness above all else, I’ve literally wanted it for 40 years now. There is a 3D printed version on Etsy, but I’m not really liking Darkseid’s face, which is such a big part of this. Still, I may end up with that one anyway.

    DCAU/Batman Animated

Absolutely agree, I have no issue with the releases, and for the very reason you stated, they should not need to add a BAF as an incentive to force others to rebuy. These should sell well enough on their own, and just release the new characters separately.

    NECA 2012 Turtles

I’m rewatching 2012 right now, so I’m super excited to see these figures. However, I can’t help noticing they’ve shown no TMNT stuff past 2026 (while they did show some 2027 items for other licenses) and I’d be really disappointed if they don’t get to April. I hope NECA gets to keep doing...

    DCAU/Batman Animated

My guess… all the scummy comes from McFarlane Toys alone and they don’t need a reason, but what do I know 🤷‍♂️.

    DCAU/Batman Animated

I remember back in the day when McFarlane did an interview with some toytuber about the potential of BAFs in Multiverse and he said he wanted to be careful with BAFs so as not to force people to buy a bunch of figures they don’t want. I wonder what happened to that sentiment, Todd? So, yeah...

    Super Powers

Yeah, curious to see where this goes. Don’t mind paying a bit more if they deliver new characters, and I think EE will manage his better than McFarlane did with the last wave.
