1/12 Diorama/Terrain/Props/Vehicles

Now that I will have my own "nerd space", I plan on at least 2 cabinet/she;ving setups for the many vehicles I've got. I want to do one of all the Batmobiles with the related figures, and then another with pop culture vehicles and figures (if they exist, or I can cobble them together).

I have versions of every live action Batmobile except the tumbler (including vintage Kenner movie toys and Super Powers version), the DCC Batmobile and Todd's Jokermobile, The Haslab Ecto-1, Ramen Racer and standard black van, the Ramen General Lee and A-Team van, the NECA toon Party Wagon, the Valaverse urban SUV. The DST BTTF Delorean & K.I.T.T, the old animated Rambo 6 wheeled jeep, a 1/12 scale RC army Jeep, the Cobra Stinger, and at least 6 motorcycles, not counting 4 each of McFarlane's White Knight Bat cycle and the skeleton bat cycle he did.

THEN I have at least 4 hollow tin trucks I picked up at Hobby Lobby over the years for background pieces in photos because they scaled well, and an RC ambulance I picked up at Target on sale.

That IS a somewhat weird omission.
From a boutique company standpoint, I guess it makes sense. I can't think of many obvious pop culture police cars that people are really clamoring for or that connect to an existing line, unless you count the generic police officer in Classified. There's probably more of a market in doing military-style stuff that can fit in with Classified, Valaverse, etc. Plus there's going to be an ACAB subset of figure collectors who would keep their distance from an offering like that on principle and maybe you want to avoid that discourse. It'd be safer to do a retro gangland kind of car with a Dick Tracy/Untouchables vibe, but we don't really have a figure line servicing that aesthetic right now.

It's possible someone takes it on when the Mattel DC line gets rolling? I would think the biggest need for one with collectors is for Batman displays with Gotham cops.

Yeah, I was going to mention, but felt like it would be sort of beating the dead horse, that on some level I think a cop car becomes a little less viable as a product every passing day right now.

Like, I am expecting at some point Ill be able to pick up that classified series cop on deep discount.

You have no idea how close I've been to picking that boat up too. Every time I've got a little spare credit I think "well, I could make it cost LESS" than an action figure... at that price I'd be a FOOL not to have it". I haven't given in yet simply because I only have like one or two figures that fit an ocean theme. I could maybe make it work with my street level villains, sort of a gun/drug running boat...
I am very happy with that boat, and I think it could nicely be customized for various purposes, but I use it with the aquatic Fortnite figures (sad about that whole Fortnite line, they made some great figures and toys).

$35 for that is a great deal...if you need it....

I just want a car as a storytelling piece.

Batman looming over some dude he's smashed into a windshield, standing on the hood.

Spidey webbing a dude to the doors. Could be a getaway vehicle.

A cop car just gives more atmosphere and narrative potential. Ramen Racer is such a specific ride.

Van works.

The Ramen van looks really cool. Really cool.
