G.I. Joe Classified - News & Updates

My feed is flooded with AI pictures of "military themed movie characters as GI Joe Classified figures sitting in-box on Target shelves". Strangely, the AI box art here looks better than the AI box art Hasbro is officially going with. I'd say that's the one wrong turn this line has made since it's beginning. Once I get my figure out of package, it can't get into the recycling fast enough. Give human artist their work back, Hasbro.
 
I was just chatting with another photographer / actor about how pre-AI you'd find a funny photoshop online or better yet, a REALLY GOOD photoshop online and you'd be impressed and share it with everyone, and now we all have to scrutinize it for AI slop. It really had just downgraded the entire communal experience of being nerds online.
 
Just a reminder that we have a thread in the Lounge that is all about discussing the culture-killing awfulness of AI.

I know it’s tough to stay on-topic in this thread when news is sparse. Reveals should pick up in a few weeks: “GI Joe Day” is Feb 1st and then a couple weeks later we have Toy Fair.

The front page of this thread has everything we know. I’m guessing that some of those “name reveal” and “digital render shown” figures will likely be revealed in full on those days. I know we’ve seen the actual full render of the Cobra-La Royal Guard, that one I think we can say with relative certainty will be a February pre-order. Some other names we know look to be Target exclusives (the Ninja Force stuff) so I am less certain we will see those in February.

I’d expect we will have a preorder for a full wave, at least one deluxe, and maybe a “with pet” and smaller vehicle coming in the next month or so.

No worries, I get a kick out of them as well. I know the majority opinion I have seen on the board is down on AI images/art/etc. However, as I said, I enjoy them and the "possibilities" they show.

At least someone does. Not like we have new announcements or anything. Everyone back to their crypts until Feb 1st!
