Tracking toy tariffs

During the tour, Trump was heckled by a man who shouted, "Pedophile protector." The president responded with what seemed to be an expletive and then appeared to gesture at the man with his middle finger.

In a statement, the White House said the man was "in a complete fit of rage, and the President gave an appropriate and unambiguous response."

Cracks me up they just throw that in the middle.

Mr. And Mrs. Potatohead must be so disappointed, where did they go wrong raising their spud.

"...the President gave an appropriate and unambiguous response," is legitimately the best line to come out of that White House. Someone should steal that the next time some pearl clutcher gets mad about a Democrat saying "fuck."

Hate and complicit hate really fucks you up, we have so much evidence with the entire rogues gallery.
One of the unfortunate realities that kind of gets pushed to the background is that racism and hate isn't the sole property of "white" (or whatever ethnicity is in power/most populous) people. In Western "white" democracies there are people from all ethnicities that are hateful and racist against others.

I mean look at the voting blocks for Trump. It wasn't just white voters who put Trump over the top. Enough Latino, Black and all Asian ethnicities voted for what he was spewing based on their own prejudices and hate (among other issues).

Tldr:

Similar thing happened in Argentina. Trump copying yet more shitty homework assignments.

"Today, the clash is remembered as one of the early warnings of the economic turmoil that later engulfed Argentina, exposing it to high inflation and a currency plunge from which the country is still recovering.

Trump's fight with the Fed has sparked debate about whether the US might be heading in a similar direction."

Add Turkey to that list. Erdogan did the same thing. Put in someone amenable to his desire to run things his way and dropped interest rates. That of course led to inflation and a weakening currency, but Erdogan still kept interest rates low and pushed the economy further into the inflation/currency spiral.

Trump seems to think the US can't possibly fall into the same spiral, but he is sorely mistaken and if it were to happen the US dollar would be at it's highest risk ever of being removed as the world's reserve currency.

I need to stop coming to this thread for my own health and sanity.

Not because of any of you, obviously. But because I am trying to remain somewhat ignorant to most of the tariff bullshit, seeing as how I feel like we just have to ride it out at this point, so there's nothing that I can do...

...and seeing the continued idiocy on display by these goons just spikes my blood pressure and makes me want to throttle someone.

A lot of the dumb shit this administration does is with the presumption that there are no consequences for America. We are superior and above all other countries, therefore we can dictate the value of money, annex who we want, and do what we will with the leadership of other nations.
