Cosmic Legions

So, a couple of years ago I decided to dip my toe into Cosmic Legions. I'm not really into fantasy figures so I never got any Mythic Legions, but I love sci-fi so I decided to give them a shot with Kalian Shunn. I was not disappointed and absolutely love that figure. Fast forward to yesterday when I got my 5th CL figure in the form of Kurnn Ray. Holy Jesus what a toy. It's an absolute masterpiece. It's honestly kind of unbelievable that it only cost 55 bucks when she is on par or beyond with ridiculously priced art toys I see out in the world. She is absolutely an art toy, in fact.

The other CL figures I have are wonderful. But Kurnn Ray is another level. I'm sure it's partially because she is so aesthetically pleasing to my specific tastes, but even past that it's honestly the most gorgeous toy I've ever seen. The paint, the sculpt, the weathering, the detail and the best soft goods I've ever seen. Seriously, her coat is a master class in scale clothing. Tiny stitching, wired belt, working pockets?! And that helmet, good god. Hands down, without a doubt my favorite toy of all time and it's not even close. That seems crazy to me considering I barely collect this line, but she is emphatically the greatest thing in my collection, and the best looking toy I've ever seen.

Them Horsemen Boys have a fan for life in me, now, and I'm actually considering getting into Mythic Legions just based on the strength of the Cosmic Legions I've acquired thus far. In fact, I've already pre-ordered the Snake Goddess and Fish Lady.

I ended up getting a combination of Sentry bodies, the human-faced Experiment body, and Zeerian for the human female face, plus the soldiers headpack and the Man-E-Faces headpack to put on existing bodies. I ay regret not getting the snake but the annoyance but the whole tail situation didn't do it for me. Now to see if I have a body to put one of those chainmail coif hads onto with the spare face.
