Yeah they look like the ones I got. I just checked my Ali account and the ones I bought specifically are no longer listed. But yeah, unlike the other waves of bootlegs these are in the clamshell and come with the extra hands and accessories. As far as I know even the original highly lauded bootlegs lacked those elements and were just of the turtles with their signature weapon.

I ordered them. Hoping they’re good quality!

It is still weird to me, though, that NECA won’t re-release these or redo them given it seems like they’re really investing in the Mirage line the last few years. A core set of source-material-accurate Turtles should always be available for any of the sub lines or at least have a new version every two years or so.

They don’t seem to do that with their other lines like the ‘87 cartoon either. The movie lines are the only ones that seem to get the same figures released in multiple formats every few years.

I'd always heard they either lost the molds for the original Mirage turtles or that they'd been stolen and thats why all the bootlegs.
 
I’ve always been dubious of the stolen claim, but I do wonder if they thought TMNT was a dead end due to licensing and sold the molds back to the factory they were working with. The fact that they have never gone back to the well with those figures would seem to indicate they don’t have the ability to do so, for one reason or another.
 
My direct pre-order of Bodycount Casey and Karai arrived today. Casey is the first one of these Mirage figures that I've seen come with a front flap like one of NECA's other Ultimate figures. Box is still the same size and shape, but it's got the extra flap with the velcro bit.
 
Yep, the IDW color Foot had the flap. I wondered why they did that with Casey...he comes with booze so maybe it's that? Who knows.

I think he might be my favorite figure of this set. Karai's very good, but the Casey moves really well and I can't deny the flag mask is visually striking.
 
Maybe they just liked the artwork enough to do it. It probably is more eye-catching for the pegs so assuming the difference in cost is negligible I’m surprised they don’t utilize it more.
 
My Target got everything today, it was crazy. Probably the most TMNT shit I've seen all at once in a non-Haulathon setting. Bodycount, Karai, Shredder Raph, Cyborg Don, Nobody...no Nightwatcher April though.
