General Marvel Legends

I ordered the animated retro card Mysterio from Walmart when it was first solicited. It was supposed to ship a few weeks ago but it’s had no movement. I tried to another a few days ago when it was in stock but it was canceled. Has anyone had success getting this figure from Walmart’s site?
I had one pre-ordered with no movement so I ordered one when it showed in stock and cancelled the pre-order after I received the new order. It got to me in a day so probably was from my local store (although I've never seen it on the shelves there).

My pre-ordered ones arrived, but it took a few extra days because the package went the wrong place, or something.

Both cards arrived damaged in a pristine shipping box.

I'm convinced there's a guy in a serape` that does a Mexican hat dance on every action figure order Walmart ships before it departs for its new home. And if that doesn't get 'em the "shipping in an envelope" method usually does the trick.

Ole`!

I was able to find Mysterio in-stock at a semi nearby store on Walmart’s website so I placed a pickup order and got him. I gave up on the website preorder and canceled it.

Get your wish lists in for the Avengers Wish List poll! I'll be tabulating the results soon and post a poll for Avengers/Allies and one for their enemies.

Also today is the last day to for or alter your votes for the X-Men/Allies poll and their enemies poll!

I don't think you're supposed to do it like that.

You can get the same results with just one spray. Cure. Second spray. Cure.

A little goes a long way with that spray. I have a steady supply for minis and other purposes. I actually screwed up some Black Series figures my first time by being overly enthusiastic with it, and that wasn't even a small fraction of what this dude is laying out.

But again the point is, You should be able to get the same result he did a with two light coats. Which means you have more spray for other things.

And if you ever want to remove it like when I screwed up my black series, olive oil.

Soak it in olive oil and then use a microfiber cloth or cotton or something gentle. I learned that from the Warhammer guys at my game store.

My youngest presented me with a gift he picked out on his own when my wife braved Ross at some point in time recently.
Retro Card Chameleon. He scribbled out the price tag with markers and there's strange bite mark on the card, which I think is the cat.
He was eyeing it with so much glee after I unwrapped it.
We played for hours with his new toys. I "accidentally" left Chameleon in the LEGO fort we built for him to keep.
I just put him to bed, then I found Chameleon next to my computer in my home office.
That's where he'll stay forever.

I'm back where I started early this morning. Coffee and scones in hand. My wife and eldest child and I listening to Bing, Frank, Ella, Karen and Richard.
Happy Holidays, my friends.

Doesn't get much better than that.

Holy shit he just sprayed like $17 worth of Super Clear, without a mask on (just guessing from his voice). Probably no goggles either. Alt is right, two light coats is plenty. It looks great on Ice Man, but I think almost every Legend improves with Mr Super Clear.

The funniest part to me is when he's spinning the figure around, due to the clear plastic you can see the "UP" arrow for the belt orientation.

I want to find a model “frosting” spray for that Iceman. Sure none of them are permanent enough
In theory, I can help; This is based on a defect a lot of miniature painters used to deal with. Lots of clear-coat sprays react poorly to humidity and temperature changes, and the result was people clear-coating their miniatures would end up with a 'frosted' look to everything as parts of the clear-coat don't turn out... you know.. clear, but a little whitish.
So, in theory, and definitely test this first, you could whack a figure with a matte or satin varnish clear-coat and immediately pop it in the fridge or even the freezer (or apply it outside in the winter). Then bring it back to a good temperature. When it dries, it should do so with a 'frosted' look.

I know Games Workshop's Munitorum Varnish has largely solved the frosting issue it had, but I believe it still happens in cold temperatures. YMMV and test on something you don't care about first, but there you go.
