Star Wars Black Series

"I sense something. A presence I've not felt since" TAG!

We all thought it was Obi Wan. But it was a tag! A big f***ing Tag! A Tag 10% the size of the Sith Lord himself, just poking him in the back, and occasionally just popping out at his side at random moments. Just another thing the Emperor had added to his suit and cape to leave his Apprentice in agony. Always poking, tickling, and itching.

That tag is screen accurate folks. To scale.

In all seriousness that tag is insane. I was really hoping EC was just screwing with us, and he'd cut it off from something else and tucked it there by Vader as an elaborate Star Wars figure prank. But if Hasbro really put that big ass thing on there, that is just crazy.

The tag is ridiculous. I've never, ever seen that on a figure before. The wire is nice. Mine though... I don't know if it's supposed to be a weight or what but there's a big lump sewn into the hem of the cape on my Vader. Anyone else have that?
What the fuck are we doing here? It's 2025 and Vader is still getting horizontal wrist hinges. At this point no one can convince me it's not malicious.
Luke is great (ish). One vertical wrist hinge, one horizontal. Ugh! I guess. His articulation is really good. Could have done with a thigh swivel, but it's serviceable without one. Paint is top-notch. I love how dirty and disheveled he looks.
The base. That was fun to assemble and incredibly smooth. Everything is uniquely keyed to go into the correct slot. It's stable on very play-friendly. I miss out on most of the Pulse exclusives, but if I was going to get lucky with one I'm glad it was this one.

Bummed I missed out on the Bespin Duel set; I do love me a good diorama. It kinda feels like the set came and went without much fanfare; I kept forgetting about it, so forgive my ignorance, but is the Luke all new, or just better paint?

I do not regret passing on this set nearly as much as I expected to. By that I mean... at all.

Watched a couple video reviews of the Bespin 2 pack and it made me even more bummed I missed out on it. Aside from the baffling giant tag on Vader, it's a pretty awesome set. Been wanting more dioramas in the line for a while. Ah, well. Maybe it'll get restocked, or Disney will get some. Worse comes to worse, if the Bespin Luke gets a single release somewhere down the road, I'll snag him then- he really does look a lot better.

My Mace & Palpatine set was supposedly delivered today, but is absolutely nowhere to be seen. Which here in NY means it was either dropped off next door for some reason (I looked and it wasn't there), the shipper mis-labeled it and it'll actually be delivered tomorrow, or it got stolen out of my stairwell. Now we play the waiting game!

Just got the Vader/Luke Empire Strikes Back diorama 2-pack in today. I like the diorama and the wired cape, but Vader's cape has an ultra-annoying tag sewed into the cape's stitching. WTF? Never seen Hasbro do anything like this before...

Just like I thought.

Made in Heaven.

Stumbled on the new Obi Wan and Anakin at Target this morning. They're included in their current 25% off Disney sale, so they were a no brainer to finally grab.

Great improvements, but maybe this has been brought up already, but why are Obi Wan's hands so dark? They're like a totally different skin color from his face and neck.
