Hasbro possibly doing Tron?

As I didn't see it, I have to wonder if Hasbro could/would/should have advertised this project before Ares. For a billion-dollar company they're completely worthless for preaching their products beyond the choir; and the Tron choir is tiny even in the already-small toy collector congregation.

Who are these people that are taking the time to go through the checkout process for something that is so clearly not happening? I realize it's only a few minutes (although we're talking Hasbro Pulse here ...) but they have to realize this is a spectacular failure.

As for advertising, I think the majority of folks that would slap money down on the table for this know it's happening. This is so much like the Republic Gunship campaign — a great offering placed at a ridiculous price point. While that had a legion of Star Wars fans, many of whom were hand ringing about whether there'd ever be another Vintage-scale Haslab if they didn't buy the gunship whether they really wanted it or not, this one has fans taking a more level-headed approach and it really shows how out of touch they are on pricing.
