Marvel Legends Two-Packs

I didn't really clock that with Black Bolt because Triton was stealing all the attention, but I completely agree. Short of actual flexible material (which would undoubtedly be fragile and not look that great) this is a good solution. It feels like Black Bolt has finally been done properly.
I have a friend who makes stuffed animals and they actually have these little fabric foil cupcake wings for one of their creatures. I think it could work.

I'm finding it very hard to pull the trigger on the B.B./Triton 2-pack. $29 each for 2 regular figures I mildly care about... I think Hasbro has finally priced me out, and it's not a matter of "can I afford this", they're just literally not worth that much $$ for me to add them to my shelfs.

The Cyclops/MarvelGirl 2pk I meant to cancel on Pulse shipped. And it really drove home just how much crap I've boughten(had arrived) lately. I don't buy too much ML these days, but I do need to rethink just what I preorder. So I'm not caught surprised by items shipping. And with so many items just ending up marked down (either during sales, clearance or outlet stores), I have to hold off on things I'm not 100% behind. I really only wanted Cyclops in this case. So yeah...

I'm holding off on the Inhumans 2pks. I'm super glad the Royal Family will finally be completed (yes, I realize Maximus still doesn't have a figure but I can treat him as a distinct entity). But I don't need them immediately. I don't see them as selling out. And I can wait till they're more affordable. I bought Lockjaw/Crystal when it went up for sale. And then was severely marked down within a few months after release. I'm gonna take that as a sign of how the other Inhumans 2pk will fare at retail.

A handful of years back, I actually fabricated something similar from a flexible clear plastic for my Black Bolt custom. It was a bit of a bitch to fabricate, but it worked pretty well.

So my Cyclops and Marvrl Girl set shipped first but the Wolverine and Storm 2-pack was the only one that showed up today. The other set never made it onto the truck but according to the tracking info they said it should arrive today by 8pm

Not picking on you, but it can't be pointed out often enough: the current out of control presidential administration is 100% responsible for this latest round of price hikes, and likely more to come. So, despite all their sins, Hasbro hasn't priced you out - Trump's taxes have.

This looks really great. I'm looking at that DCUC body, though, and I have to ask - how many years ago is "a handful"? Is this a time is a flat circle moment?

I've frozen all of my purchasing for the foreseeable future due to a financial crunch, but I'm (probably) going in on these at MSRP. I'm excited enough about the Inhumans AND they actually put the effort in. I hate the price increase, but I'm not holding this one against them.

This was exactly how I felt today. Plus, I really only want Black Bolt. I really like the look of this Black Bolt figure, but it's not like he is a favorite character of mine or anything, and I don't even want Triton.

But it was going to be $62 after tax. It's just not worth it to me. And I'm starting to feel that way about a lot of characters/figures in this line.

Yeah I'm playing the waiting game for the Inhuman sets as well. I bit the bullet for the Skurge baf. But you know these will all come at the same time. I just can't have that kind of cash going out the door at the same time. I begrudgingly justified the Skurge preorder due to the fact he's the only one of my top 10 Hasbro has announced this year. Gotta pony up when Hasbro finally makes one of my top 10 well.

Yes, be sure to thank Trump in your prayers for this lesson in austerity.

Oh, I get that, but regardless of the why, the result is me deciding $29 is just too much for me to spend on characters I "wouldn't mind having".

Totally understand! I'm just shouting it from the rooftops every chance I get.

But also, you're crazy and the Inhumans are awesome and worth their weight in gold. When they finish the team with a Maximus the Mad / Luna 2-pack in 2027 I'll happily pay the $299.99 post-tariff rate in whatever horrendous cryptocurrency replaces the US dollar.
