G.I. Joe Classified Series

If they just did his snowboard with some basic stuff they could do a regular release, but for the Eel v2 with the shark, imagine a pet pack with the shark getting a real glow-up!

Nothing against that Eel or those of you who adore it... I loved the original, he was one of my first non hand-me-downs when I decided to go all in on the line, and am so happy with the Classified version. BUT, I would have a severely difficult time resisting a Classified shark, even considering I don't have my water guys posed like they're in the water ... So I wouldn't know where to put that. But I would have to have it.

I went by one of the two Ross's near me. No Marvel stuff which is what I was hoping for (someone managed to score a Lilandra apparently), but they did have a LOT of Classified Series Jinx for $7 and two Marine Snipers for $16. I got my sniper cheaper with amazon credit so no big miss there, but now I'm considering Jinx. She's part of what little GI Joe stuff I have seen.

Look, everyone can do what they want, but that also means I can say what I want: If you spend 980 dollars on a Classified figure because of rare packaging, you are a fucking fool. The kind of fool that should have a court-appointed person to look after your finances for you.

Imagine this one shows up at your doorstop in a dinged box. $980 is a lot and I wonder how many will be graded and their value. The fact that it's only a print and doesn't have even a serial number or artist signature is lazy but I'm okay with Hasbro not being good at this kind of thing.

That collar being for a shark is IMO the best guess of what it could be used for so far.

On the V2 stuff, I was PSYCHED to finally own a V1 style Firefly when he arrived in Classified, but they'd get me for one of his hideous green outfit looks because my brother and I share custody of a beat-to-shit box of old Joes and green Firefly is still in there! I got a soft spot for the random figures who survived this long.

Speaking of which, I opened up a nightmare box of old Transformers and Gobots my mother foisted on me a few years back and never opened up (they're all broken) but what should I find but an old school ARAH Alley Viper shield! Only piece of Joes gear in the box.

Hah, yes I only had the green Firefly who came with one of those ripcord tops I believe...I remember having one with grey armor and one with black, which I always just thought the grey one was faded as a kid but they're completely different releases.

Side-note, I think I finally have all my fall Classified releases so far...last two weeks has been crazy! Still haven't opened them all...but I did open Budo and he's amazing! Another contender for Joe of the year. And I can post pictures later but my plan to make a spare Grunt wear the heavy samurai armor worked great. It all fits well, although the side clasps on the torso armor are a close call. The only issue is that there's not enough swords to go around, so I gave Budo a spare Red Ninja sword for his belt. Might just trim the belt sheath off entirely and the combat Budo can just use the odachi on his back.

I never had original Firefly, made do with green Firefly, but I was PISSED he didn’t look as cool as a toy as he did in the comics. The like weird ball-cap thing on his head was lame.

I posted this the other day, but this image was one of the back pages for one of the issues just before Ninja Force happened, and I always liked it. I HOPE when Classified does a figure of that version, they do a head that's true to the RAH figure and a second one more like this:

Way cooler to me and why I bought the figure, and was also disappointed by it.
