Nacelle Toys Biker Mice From Mars

Found myself at Walmart doing a cash deposit, popped by the clearance aisle having heard Nacelle was on sale. No dice, but I found a bunch of the Biker Mice in the entertainment section. Grabbed Throttle to bring to self checkout just to price check, and he was $8. Easy pickup.

Anyone on the fence with this line might want to check out their Walmarts. Try price checking them, even if they aren't marked on sale. They might be down to $8.

The figure is excellent at full price. At $8, it's cheaper than a sandwich out. Lots of character, great matte paint, great articulation range, great accessory load out, really fun to pose and play around. I don't have any nostalgia for the OG cartoon/toys, but he'll do well with the NECA TMNT. Wish my store had the bikes, I'd probably at least pick up Throttle's on sale.

I'll probably circle back in the next couple of days and see if I can grab the other two.

Did you guys see the announcement of the Nacelleverse Minis line that is starting off with Biker Mice? Nacelleverse Minis will be 3.75" figures of the properties Nacelle has the rights to. I'd love to see some Sectaurs in this scale, but it is Biker Mice from Mars that will be kicking off this 1/18th scale line for Nacelle.

I really like the Biker Mice figures I have, but I refuse to pick up other Nacelle product until they move Sectaurs into a compatible 1/10 scale line with modern sculpting aesthetics...

It would be so easy for them and I would be on the hook for a ton. It baffles me why they elected to do essentially vintage remakes in the same almost-5 inch/ almost 6 inch scale. Just make Sectaurs that gonwith the Biker Mice you released...

Man, I never even thought of that since I didn't buy the Biker Mice. That is insane they didn't make Sectaurs in the same scale as the Biker Mice so you could have them all together and cross universes in the same scale.

I've been over here enjoying my Sectaurs and never even thought about the fact Nacelle missed the chance to make a Nacellverse LARGE before they ever did Nacelleverse Minis.

That feels like a big opportunity missed. Don't get me wrong, being as I only wanted Sectaurs I enjoy them in their very vintage scale and articulation. But they absolutely should also do 1/10th compatible Sectaurs to go with the Biker Mice.

But it looks like that's what they intend to do with the Nacelleverse Minis. Biker Mice, Sectaurs, maybe Cowboys of Moo mesa. All in 1/18th

The Sectaurs thing is pure insanity. They're appealing to the five people on earth that wanted it instead of the 12 people on earth that want modern-style Sectaurs. I have two of the ones from the 4" line that came out several years ago. And 1:18 stuff was kind of en vogue at the time, so I get why they went that route and I like them well enough. But I want proper 1:12 or 1:10 figures that can go with other stuff that was contemporary to Sectaurs which have had revivals over the last however many years; G.I. Joe, MOTU, Biker Mice, etc.

Looks like they're just going to be ReAction-style. So... I don't know if you're into that, but I am certainly 100000% not and those figures can definitely fuck all the way off into the sun.

NO, I am not into ReAction style at all. If that's what they are I am definitely out before it begins. I didn't know if I'd for sure buy the 3.75" Sectaurs when they came anyways being I have the 5.5"/6" figures. But I wanted to see them and might have given them a chance. But if they are ReAction style, just a big NO.

The control art, or whatever you want to call it, is up on TNI. Definitely looks like ReAction style with the T-hips and all.

They did Sectaurs and those robots in an "updated" vintage style, but then ACTUALLY updated the Biker Mice, which was such an odd choice.

I loved the Sectaurs as a child, and wanted to get the updated figures, but even seeing some on clearance at Walmart for $8, I couldn't do it.

I saw some ReAction-esque figures at the Nacelle booth at SDCC this year. My first thought was Brian Volk-Weiss is out to eat Brian Flynn's lunch. However, if I'm remembering correctly, they were like $7-$8 or some such.

Not a 5POA guy, but I would have grabbed a couple of ReActions for certain IPs if they weren't $20. Though Biker Mice would not be one of them.

I hope Nacelle gets some more IPs. They have a lot of potential and a great price point. I think they'd kill Pirates of Dark Water, which appeals to at least 14 people.

That sounds familiar. Someone had a note (probably a Toy Tuber) about asking Volk-Weiss what they would cost and he said something along the lines of, “They’re 5 POA - no more than 5-6 bucks.” The implication being, companies that charge upwards of 20 bucks are stealing from customers.
