It's more about awareness, that we are aware of Hasbro changing an item between taking our preorders and fulfilling said preorders. Because maybe next time it will be something you care about.

Personally I'm not even buying this figure but I see that trading card art of her with two fists and think, "there's certainly a non-zero amount of people who bought her planning to display her like this."

EDIT: She's even got both her hands in fists on the accessory comic cover! :ROFLMAO:

My guess is the excuse is somewhere between "It didn't cost out" and "Our bad". Neither of which hold water.

The preorder went for sale this month. That means these were already packaged up and they were knowingly showing us things they knew we weren't getting. There's no cop-out with saying "prices changed on us". Hasbro is a billion dollar company and if they had to cut costs on the legends line, do it on a future product where you haven't shown us what it comes with, not a fake packaged product showing items were not getting. Again, shady as fuck.
 
It does suck they don't point out when these things change. Even in the livestream the packaged Phoenix was missing fists, and the loose figure only had the two sets, so they knew how it was coming. I think it's most likely that a last minute change happened - for any of a hundred reasons that can happen between prototyping/promo shots and actual production - and they either didn't update the promo shots, or did and sent out the wrong ones. It's a stupid mistake they should own, but it's not some sneaky trick.

The real outrage is Rachel's missing single metal nipple piercing. I haven't seen a single in-hand photo that shows her with this feature! This is deception of the highest order! (seriously though, what is that?)

I guess the next question is, can someone figure out an alternative pair of fists that come with something else that will be a close enough match for her? Most of the iconic poses of her (especially with those wings) has her making fists with both hands.
 
I’m a fist lover. Can’t get enough of those fists. I can’t wait for Mephisto to join the Fist Ninjas, Fisto, Fist of the Northstar and Iron Fist on the fist shelf. Fists are more often than not the hands I put on my figures. I’m mad as hell about #fistgate and I’m not going to take it anymore!

Seriously, I agree that the false advertising is shady AF. I mean, I’m keeping my PO for Rachel and won’t complain to Hasbro but it’s wrong and it’s a bad precedent to set.

Also still lowkey mad about the fists.

First they came for the MCU waves and I did not speak out—because I was not an MCU collector.

Then they came for the Build a Figures and I did not speak out—because I am not a completionist.

Then they came for the alternate hand sets and I did not speak out—because I probably have extras in a baggie somewhere.

Then they reduced paint apps on my grail desired figure - and there were no more Marvel Legends collectors to speak for me.

When I was out of the game during the 4-in figure days, I was really out of the game and didn't know anything.

One day I walked into a Target when I was stateside and decided to check out the toy aisle. I picked up these 4-in figures and I saw the back of the packaging had my beloved disco Dazzler on it. I was elated that they made her.

No, they didn't make her. They just put her on the back of the packaging for a wave as a gag or something? I was salty for a few minutes.
 
Correct me if I'm wrong, but Hasbro wants us to buy a line of figures that come with mini comics that the figure can hold, then takes the most requested figure finally to be made and puts her in THAT line, and then removed the hands that enable her to hold said comic she's in?

They removed the hands capable of holding the comic? That was the whole point of this gimmick line!
 
If it's the fists that have been cut ( I keep hearing different things from different people) you might be able to use the red fists from 90s Avengers Sersi.

Acknowledging that, are we really breaking the bank here for asking to have the same female hands we always get given to us in red when it's been shown? The price jumped for the dollhouse-scale toilet reading material. Not because we'd be getting hands that have existed since who knows when.
