G.I. Joe Classified One-A-Day Beamish-Style Poll - #18 Daina (Oktober Guard)

If you told me some of the other actors retired and ran for office I'd have been like sure, that happens! But the Terminator, a WWF superstar, and almost the guy who needed a bodyguard on set to protect the other cast members from him? Back then, no way. (Politics right now? MAKES PERFECT SENSE)
 
Day 12 - Dial Tone (Jill Morelli, IDW)

There are a few different female Dial Tones; this is the first. Yeah, she looks like an extra from Crocodile Hunter, but the Classified team would give her some awesome gear.

We want diversity in the Joe ranks and shelves, but this looks like a plain white lady. I’d buy her as another female. But they could really start making them look different too.

I had PoC Spirit. It wasn’t enough Spirit for me, too Billy. Not a big need for either.
 
I am mostly all in on Classified so there isn't a figure I would pass on per se, but this version of Dial-Tone would definitely be a "wait for a sale" purchase.
 
Fairly unremarkable design. Since we recently got the first Dial-Tone, I’m not feeling a priority for her just yet. Tentative pass unless they can make her more interesting.
 
"How stable are her glasses on her face" is my one question on her.

Again, another character I know nothing about but would help break up the boys club look so probably. Her design was pretty lame (especially given how unique Dial Tone 1 was!) but I have no doubt Classified could make her cooler in their version.
 
Her Resolute design was kinda boring but she was also drawn absolutely adorable, which is not a word we see often in GI Joeland.

I agree. I started with the worst version, definitely. All three are Jill Morelli though, and I would think the ideal classified figure may draw from all three.

Maybe it was those PSA parodies from a few years back, or maybe he reminds me of some folks I've known like your friend, but honestly...in my head canon Gung Ho is gay.
 
I used to know a guy named Pele who was kinda flamboyant, swayed his hips when he walked, had his hair kinda buzzed except for pink bangs and such, but he was also a kinda big (beefy I guess, not really muscly but not fat) pacific islander guy... but one time the whole group of us were at a movie theater and a guy called Pele the common slur for homosexuals. Pele immediately laid the guy out on the pavement and said "You just got your ass kicked by..." that same word. I imagine that could be Gung Ho but probably back in his early 20s or something.
 
I imagine him standing over the guy like Chris Tucker in Friday and saying that...but more flamboyantly...if it's possible to be more flamboyant than Tucker.
