I can't justify picking it up (too expensive, would rather just go with 97 or CT Toys when I get hit with an X-Men mood again) but Wolverine has the torso/waist articulation scheme and proportions that I've wanted Marvel Legends to have for a decade, and realistically we should have started swapping over to around 2020.

I don't get how we got new updated body molds like Vulcan, and all these new pinless limb bodies for everything, but they're all the same formula for torso articulation we've had for 13 years, with exception to Spider-Mans and sometimes a slight iteration on women. I get the logistical reasons the ML team puts out there, but man. Every time I see the Sunfire buck or Spider-UK body I have to take a deep breath. Those bodies are butt ugly in all regard and have torsos function worse than most other lines on the market. Hopefully in the next 5 years we can see the line fully shift over to something like this Wolverine.

The new one does make my old Wolverine feel like a piece of crap. Perhaps too harsh, but I just like how substantial the new mold is. The old one (and a lot of Hasbro's molds) are so thin front to back. His head sits so much lower too so he actually looks good standing up or crouched. My old one I always have in a deep crouch because it hides how long his neck is. And this one wouldn't suffer from tiny shoulder syndrome if repurposed as a brown costume. Very curious to see what Hasbro does with this one going forward. It's vastly superior, but a lot of folks don't like how tall it is. It's Wolverine though, Hasbro should be able to justify the expense of retooling it from the digital render just shrunk 6.25% or so.

It occurs to me that Hasbro could easily do some Konami X-Men arcade figures and repurpose this one for the brown costume Wolverine. They'd also be able to get some more mileage out of the 97 Cyclops, Storm, and Nightcrawler with some paint variations and maybe new heads. I'd honestly be surprised if that isn't on their radar for the Gamerverse subline.

Messed around with Cap last night - didn't realize he didn't have thoracic swivel - it's the plain old ab crunch. The line in his costume at the chest is the perfect way to disguise this joint so I'm very bummed.

Good news - his butterflies are some of the best. WHAT a range! If it's this set-up, or Wolvie's set-up, there's no competition. Cap can move. Wolvie can shrug.
