Marvel Legends Gamerverse

Going back to the Silver Samurai conversation, the first set that I got from Amazon had that cut on the chest but the second set that I got from BBTS didn't. I was able to return the Amazon set and they even offered me a $12 partial refund to just keep it, but I wanted the full $60+ back instead so did that. I have buyers remorse from buying just one set, there's no way that I need two.

I'm thankful Cap and Wolverine have good QC on my copies. I think the paint on Venom is going to be awful for everyone (check how thin the white lines are on the logo. the legs on the sides of the logo in particular. mine don't even connect to the logo on all of them). Same problem with Cap's shield having that terrible thin white layer of paint. God forbid they do the shield right even half the time. It looks okay. I might seal mine, I think a dullcote layer will make the white look better.

Really enjoying what I've opened, so far the ranking is Wolverine > Omega Red > Cap/Venom (can't choose) > Silver Samurai > War Machine. It's a shame Silver Samurai and War Machine didn't come in a set together I could just skip because I really don't care for either figure.

I think from now on I'm going to make a rule to never buy MLs with pinned knees (unless they're on the Omega Red buck). They just feel so cheap and suck to pose.

On the QC issue, I forgot Omega Red - the one I got's paint wasn't great on his holsters so I never even opened it and returned it.

Also I forgot to mention that I do t see any QC issues on my recent orders. And I love the look of most of these figures except War Machine and that’s not due to any QC, I’m just bummed that he didn’t come with a second shoulder cannon. It feels like a real kick in the nuts and he’s one of my favorite characters. I hope there are some intrepid customizers and kit bashers who can offer solutions to making one ourselves

So a day after having Wolverine in hand, I really wish the QC issues weren't there because this really IS, at its core, a truly fun figure. Like he's just fun to pose and move. His insanely long claws are legitimately hilarious in a good way. But man, no matter how much heat I apply his head wings want to curve back inward and the wonky hip is distracting. I wish I got a perfect version of him because I'd probably be in love.

It's silly how much fun Cap and Venom are though. Legit zero regrets paying full price for them.

I’m curious, do you apply heat with a blow dryer or heat gun, or boil in water? I find that for really stubborn warping rather than microwaving a cup of water actually having a simmering pan on a stove to leave parts in for a few minutes has better results when the piece just won’t relax into the intended shape. If it still doesn’t work after than then it might be the pressure in the mold or the plastic batch had some issues and it was rushed through production but I’d hope your figure isn’t that much of a dud on the quality level

Opened Wolverine today, I don't seem to have any of the QC issues others have mentioned. This is already my favorite Wolverine.

This torso articulation should be standard going forward. I know it won't happen any time soon, if at all, but I'd be perfectly happy if I never saw another ab crunch again.

I'm guessing we'll see this torso setup start to show up more often, but like everything with Hasbro, it's a slow roll. Wolverine's box mate is a perfect example of that. I just remain surprised we didn't see it with Maximum Spider-Man - I wonder what the next figure will be that does go for this? None of the costume effects are sculpted in so they could reuse this exact mold for almost anyone. As a lot of folks have pointed out, feral Wolverine was drawn bigger than a normal Wolverine so I wouldn't be shocked if they reused a lot of this figure for such a variant in the not too distant future.

I wouldn’t be surprised if this Wolverine body was reused for his feral design as well as an Art Adams/Marc Silvestri era brown & tan look. I also wouldn’t mind seeing a battle damaged Wolverine on this body at some point.

As far as when other characters will get the ball & cup articulation coupled along with the adjacent thoracic joint…time will tell. But I can see larger characters like Rhino, Kingpin and the Hulk benefiting from this kind of articulation. But more nimble characters like daredevil, Captain America, Gambit and Spider-Man could benefit from it too.

Got my Logan. Flipped Samurai with the quickness.

Love him. He is fun to pose around. Has a great presence and silhouette.

I still think he's too big. I don't care how he scaled in any of the arcade games? He is big for a Legend and huge for a Wolverine.

I'm also not buying the articulation hype. Aesthetically I prefer the cup over the crunch, but on a pure articulation level there is nothing he can do that the the 97 and Secret Wars already weren't doing except for up and down shoulders. Which are cool.. My Astonishing doesn't crunch that forward, but I think that's the belt in the way.

I think for most fans the 97 or the upcoming brown will probably be the play.

But he is cool and he's going to hang out on my desk with other bigger figures. I really like how he looks with Not Rebecca from Cyberpunk. New canon incoming.

Respectfully disagree there. I think the ability to rotate within the torso and at the waist (without it looking ugly, as well) lends itself well to poses the old Wolverines can't hit like being able to lead more with the shoulder. The Astonishing one can probably do a similar pose, but it can't rotate at the waist for other poses.

I'll play around with it more. :)

If I had the choice, I want the cup going forward all day.

Is that your shot? Reminds me of an Jim Lee shirt I used to have.
