Marvel Legends Gamerverse

Got Cap and Venom yesterday, wolverine and silver samurai are on their way from bbts.

This new Captain America is great. Definitely the best one they've made, in my eyes. Just needs better torso articulation and it would be perfect.

Venom is fun too, really like the shade of blue. Once again, I wish they'd make the legs pinless so the whole thing can be more cohesive. It's so close to perfect.

@Schizm I hadn't noticed it yet, but now that I looked I also have that cut on my Samurai that I got from Amazon as well. I have another one in route from BBTS. I'll check that one when it arrives.

I don't know. I guess that I haven't been as impressed with these Gamerverse MvC figures yet as others seem to be. I have all four 2-packs in hand now and am just waiting on Gargantos and Juggs. Gargantos/Shuma is the only one that I was super excited for anyway.

They're all "fine", I guess. Psylocke is a tremendous improvement and she's my definitive Betsy, but my enthusiasm for her was downgraded a bit when I had to pay $83 to get that 2-pack from Canada after striking out with Target (missed the pre-order and was never stocked locally). The other figures all have tremendous positives but also all have flaws. I think that I still like the Secret Wars Cap better than this one. I really like the War Machine figure, but my enthusiasm was tempered by having to buy a 3rd version of this Omega Red. Wolverine's articulation is great, but he's far too big and features are too exaggerated. I don't know. I have some level of buyer's remorse on all four 2-packs even though Betsy was a must-have. I feel like I could have skipped them all in hindsight. Betsy is the one that I'm probably the happiest to have but am still quite upset with both myself and Target for what I paid for her.

I'm still really looking forward to Gargantos and Juggy, though.

Wolverine isn’t as large as some people have made him out to be. He’s just a few millimeters taller than Jubilee and he’s shorter than Kitty Pryde. That’s the perfect height. It’s literally the difference between 5.8” for the new Wolverine vs the previous 5.7” for the previous Wolverine figures. It doesn’t make that much of a difference.

My Silver Samurai has those cut marks on his chest as well. They’re not actual cuts as there’s no mark in the plastic, but I don’t think whatever it is was put there on purpose.

He’s pretty mediocre, but I do like this Wolverine quite a bit. I don’t want to see another one with an ab hinge or straight cut waist ever again. Hopefully this figure helps convince Hasbro to utilize more ball joints at the diaphragm and waist going forward.

Is this Silver Samurai situation similar to the Retro Iceman where the mold injection process of the swirly plastic created those odd lines across his face?

It could be. My war machine has that same problem on his leg. It looks like a cracked windshield

Does anyone else's Silver Samurai have gigantic cut marks across his chest? Two got delivered today and both have this issue in the same spot. Looks like someone X-acto'd his chest!
Mine have lines in very similar spots. Weird. Got my packs from Amazon, arrived in a paper bag, lol. Thankfully the workers were gentle but I'm keeping these Gamerverse boxes so even the minor damage on mine is annoying.

I took a look at my Silver Samurai, and yes, it does have those marks, but they're not slices. They're also all over his back. I second the notion that they're from the mold or something, more swirly plastic syndrome. Just the way the metallic plastic sets in the mold. Like molten lava cooling in layers.

Yeah, I looked more closely at mine and the swirls are more pronounced on his boots. There’s also more excess plastic from the molds than usual with my set. Silver Samurai has it on one of his shoulder pads and one of Wolverine’s middle claws has it around the tip. I’ll have to trim them with a razor blade.

Maybe they meant the other Kitty. Which I always found too tall. And they've rescaled women in the line since that.

It's not just height, I think that Wolverine is just proportionally pushed out. It does match the art, I just don't think I'd use it with the comic lineup.
