Most Wanted 1/12 scale figures

Very much this. Especially since, you know, we're getting new games on a pretty regular basis, but even the older games have a damn good track record for holding on to their goodwill, it seems like they're leaving money on the table. Those old NECA figures are pretty okay, at least for the time, but most of them look nicer than they really are, especially the humans. The sculpts are pretty nice, but the lack of articulation really kills them, and the paint, again on the humans, can be a little thick and sloppy. With today's sculpting, you could do some bangin' sculpts- dare I say they could even make Leon's luscious locks look damn good. You can't tell me that nerds wouldn't snatch up a Lady Dimidrescu figure (with big mommy milker action) in a heartbeat!

And while less expansive and a slightly tougher sell, I'd love some Silent Hill figures as well. I know a few companies have made Pyramid Head, and there's the nurses as well, but give me more monsters, give me more (any) humans.

Between this thread and the Playstation Shapes thread, what I'm taking away is that video games are oddly underrepresented in the figure department. After I play the game, let me go play with the toys, and vice versa! The more kid-focused stuff like Jakks' Nintendo line, Five Nights at Freddy's, and even Minecraft have all been pretty lucrative, but where's the more collector-focused stuff? The Resident Evils and Silent Hills? The GTA and Red Dead? Mass Effect, Soulsborne, etc. Heck, I'd love to see a modern stab at an expansive Crash Bandicoot line. I know NECA gave us their fare, and Jakks/Head Start's offerings were quite nice as well, but they haven't expanded past the 4 or 5 we got- give me Dingodile, N. Gin, N. Brio, N. Tropy, Twyla, Tawna, Tiny the Tiger, Ripper Roo, Pinstripe, etc.

Another want would be a Psychonauts line. I'd be fine with a small handful of figures, but I'd gladly take more. And while not a video game, sticking with the more kooky style, I'd love an Invader Zim line. I was so happy when DST got the license, but, well, we know how that worked out. I don't know if those old Palisades figures will ever be beat, but the fact we're missing characters like Membrane, Tak, etc. still hurts. Again- a couple small waves to get what we got before and then some, and then I'm good.

I don't even play video games any more, but I'd still like to have figures of some of these...especially RE. The monsters fit in great in other displays (I currently have a couple of the old NECA RE zombies in an Evil Dead display). In some cases, the monsters are rather iconic, and I'd just like to have them hanging out with my movie monsters.
 
While I have no interest in Youngblood, those new Loose Collector figures have me thinking about how much I want late-series Stormwatch, pre-Millar Authority, maybe some proper WildCATS with good articlulation...
 
I could list like 20 different video game franchises that I'd love some representation of on my shelf, but I'll keep it concise with Chrono Trigger, Castlevania, and Earthbound.

Beyond video games, Freakazoid for sure. I don't know where I'd fit them, but I'd kill for a full line of heroes and villains. At least just get me a Freakazoid and Lobe... and Candlejack... and Caveguy... and Cosgrove so he can hang out with J Jonah Jameson and Gargoyles Hudson.
 
I'll break my list into 10 characters, and 10 IPs/lines.

Characters:
10. Terra (Megaman)
9. Mork & Mindy (Counting them as one, they're inseparable.)
8. Luke Custer from Project Altered Beast (I love this game. Sue me.)
7. Scully & Mulder (Same deal as Mork & Mindy, I'd go season 1/2 in appearance)
6. Shunsaku Kudo from Detective Story (Easy sell in Japan, just make it.)
5. Kyoji Matsuda from Black Angels
4. Devil May Cry 1 Dante (Please. His DMC5 design is so awful, I'm sick of it.)
3. Psaro (Criminal how much Bring Arts skirted around before entirely stopping making Dragon Quest figures.)
2. Getsu Fuma (OG, not UM. Think of this as Trevor Belmont vs Julius Belmont, or Naked Snake vs Solid Snake.)
1. Lilith Aensland (Counting her until Storm gets the balls to solicit her figure.)

Lines:
10. Metal Gear (Money left on the table. Not counting Revoltech, the stylized-realistic look of 6th/7th gen JP gaming looks TERRIBLE filtered through Revoltech's style. Ninja Gaiden also looks horrid.)
9. Just a full on Dragon Quest line (Yes I listed a character up in character specific stuff. But come on now. Where the fuck did it go, Square?)
8. ARMS by Kyoichi Nanatsuki and Ryoji Minagawa
7. God dude I just want figures from classic manga artists like Leiji Matsumoto, Shotaro Ishinomori, and Osamu Tezuka. Is that too much to ask?
6. Darksiders (How do we only have a single third party figure for this???)
5. Resident Evil (I'd stick with the older designs when possible. The modern remake series just isn't toyetic, and everyone having irl likenesses would complicate things for certain.)
4. Dragon Ball Heroes (Yes, we get so many Dragon Ball figures, but this I only really ADORE the characters from here.)
3. Castlevania (Games, not that horrid show. Every wave could have one Dracula, one important boss or enemy, and two or three characters from Classicvanias AND Igavanias.)
2. General Capcom line (Too many obscure games that I want to get figures to just go "Well, I think THIS one should get figures!")
1. Guyver. (A full line. Human characters, Zoanoids, Zoalords.)

All in all, uhh... I think I have a lot of customs to make.

Games in general, at least prior to 8th gen of consoles, had insanely toyetic and eye-catching designs. No surprise that they're the star of the show in a thread like this. It's kind of a crime how many games have absolutely ZERO 1/12 action figures. It'd be easier to write the games that actually HAVE gotten their time in the spotlight, though.

Such an all-encompassing statement. Yakuza, Metal Gear, Devil May Cry, Resident Evil, Sengoku Basara, Uncharted (not a thing I care about, but notable), Okami, Guilty Gear, Ace Attorney, Castlevania (even if it's dogshit Netflixvania), Baldur's Gate III, Jet Set Radio... Why is so much of this Capcom, actually? lol

If we dipped into gaming funko pops or non-gaming nendoroids, though... time for a headache.
 
Nendoroid does SO many figures that I'd kill to have as Figmas.

But what's more depressing is the people actually asking for it! Going onto a GSC post on IG and seeing people asking for a property to be made as Nendoroids or even worse, as one of Goodsmile's statues! 🤮

Like, why don't we all just want normal looking characters that you can put into any pose?!
 
When the Pop-Up Parade Lilith was announced, my soul was crushed.

Also, only way I could see a Cerebus figure getting made is if it's by some Comicsgate bozos like EVS, since that guy's friends with him. And if that's the case, fuck buying it. Though, frankly, fuck buying anything with Dave Sim's name attached to it anyways.
