Operation Monster Force

I really earned my rep as an easy mark of a collector. “I’m just going to buy one for a GI Joe stand-in.”

I should change my password at BBTS cause you're obviously looking at my pre-orders.

I've had the Chimp on preorder for a while since he'll line up beautifully with my white tux Patch and Mr. Fixit. I've also got the Blackwatch Agent. I'm debating the Spy from the Soldiers of Fortune line not as a Spy, but as an alt body for their eventual Grendel because I like the short tux top over the long coat...

That universal head swapping is what's going to finally bring me into this line. And Robo's made me want the general and a trooper now too... my poor wallet. Where does it end?

So... I have to say this video actually unsold me on 'Frankenstein'... I always envision the character as bigger - certainly taller - than an average man, so to have him be the same height as everyone else doesn't work for me.

Super duper excited for Caligari, the General, and Pete Wisdom... I mean, Black Watch agent... though. I can't wait to make General Ross and General Joe Colton, and to use the other head to replace Hasbro's awful Hawke.

I ordered three of the General because he was too good not to.

Man, as excited as I am for what I already have ordered, like many of you, now I'm getting tempted by stuff that I DON'T have ordered. Namely Donner Party.

Although I'm mostly tempted by him for his head. I'd love to use it to put on some kind of body to mix in with the Crimson Moon line. Feels like a Frankenstein creature would be something Baron Ironblood would cook up alongside the Kraken and Skeletron.

BW... why do you have to try and get me back in on a figure I said I was out on? Mean.
Well if it makes you feel any better, my mental planning for this has gotten worse for me just trying to figure out what body I'd put the head on. Using my imagination to try and put myself in the shoes of an old Palitoy designer tasked with coming up with a Frankenstein creature for Action Force using existing parts. Because I don't want to just pop his head on a trooper body and call it a day, that would be too easy!

Dammit gang, I was OUT on Donner Party til he got compared to Frankenstein. I'm like "I don't need a corpse stitched together from cannibals" but immortal stitched together monster...

Does anyone have a comparison of the suited guys compared to a Marvel Legend? Preferably one of the suited varieties?

I must've made it up in my head, but I would've sworn the Donner Party was initially self-assembled out of shear willpower to protect their descendents. The official listing is the first place I saw that he was assembled by a mad scientist.

I honestly prefer the conglomerate revenant story, so I'm adding that to my MF shelf-canon.

This line is so great; I haven't made up stories about my toys since I was 10 and got my first G.I.Joes.

Good gawd that Robo video is the most earnestly convincing push to get that whole wave... Did I WANT zombies that look perfect next to living Cobra Troopers for my beleaguered Cobra troopers to be mad they have to fight alongside? YES! Cowboy Frankenstein? OF COURSE. Even the agents look better proportioned than I thought they were.

Didn't want a brain in a suit, but the ACCESSORIES
