Boss Fight Studios 1/12 and EPIC HACKS

So BF lists their Hellboy figure at 7.5”. Is Hellboy canonically 7’6”?? That seems tall. I thought he was maybe 6’6” tops.

What I'm seeing online is 6'11", so just shy of 7ft, but that's probably interpretive of Mignola's loose style. Ron Pearlman's closer to or just over the 6' mark and might've worn lifts as HB. He's a big lad though and his bigness seems to fluctuate a bit depending on what would be most dramatic in the art. He's almost always bigger than Abe Sapien though, so it somewhat depends on how tall you think Abe is.

Towards the end of the video they get into the Steampunk Sonja, Blanks, and eventually the Epic Hacks core wave samples.

They're all coming later than expected, which isn't ideal, but at least will spread out the hits to my wallet before Christmas.

It's great to hear they are working on more Fraggle Rock and Popeye figures! Hopefully, they get shown before too long. I guess I'll hold off on some of the custom Popeye figures I have in the works. I thought for sure that line was done after the last wave.

No, the whole line is going to be too large.

Everything I can find online says The Lobster is 6' tall.

BFS' figure is saying 6.5".

That's too fucking big, and I don't like it.

And Hellboy will literally be the exact same size as the less articulated, but still one of my top figures of EVER, Mezco comic Red. I used the measurements given with the preorders when they first went up with a tape measure, Mezco comic HB, Mondo RGB Venkman, and Declan Van Helsing from OMF (FMF/BBWS). Lobster Johnson will be as big as Venkman. Which is too fucking big, and I don't fucking like it.

Either way I think I'm going to at least give it a moment to see what samples look like in context with another line. They won't come out for a while yet so we should have plenty of opportunity to cancel if needed.

It wouldn't surprise me if they're scaled more in line with Marvel Legends which is not quite 1/12. That would be ok for me. Right now all we've got are renders.

The Immortal Champions line looks really interesting to me. I wonder how well they'll blend with MOTU Origins. I imagine very much so. They mention Conan having a double-barbell in his torso/waist, which is interesting for the format. They didn't mention it for Sonja or the skeleton. I wish Veebs had asked some more specific questions about the line. There was just so much fluff and filler. They also talk about Conan having lots of different looks, which I can only assume means there will be more Conan figures in the line. I do think Conan looks a bit naked without a necklace. I've seen social media posts hinting at more reveals for the line happening soon. Will be curious to see what wave 2 is like.

Something Conan related is being revealed tomorrow. Perhaps a 6" Conan? Also, for the Wal-Mart Collector Con event there is an exclusive version of the Immortal Champions Skeleton Warrior. It looks like the exclusive one is a shade of blue, but elsewise the same figure as the regular, white version of the Skeleton.
