Star Trek

I didn't have any interest in the sailor outfit figures, but with 3 of my fave STNG characters in those outfits, and Jordi coming WITH the Holodeck entrance frame, might make them a purchase.

I was originally interested in the STNG crew and some of the DS9 crew, so we'll see.

All of these reveals and plans are very exciting, and those Generations renders look FANTASTIC - but until I see final products of The Expanse figures or Trek Wave 1, I refuse to think all of these excellent prototypes are what we'll end up with. The Expanse almost-production figures do not look good and are now *seriously* late on releasing.

I hope for the best. That arch really makes it cool.

Preorders are popping up on amazon for Nacelle wave 1. I just can't believe the price point on these (in a good way). The other shoe is going to drop eventually, right? Right?

Amazon preorders are $28 while BBTS/EE are $33. Amazon already pre-soldout of a few like Sulu. I'm sure they'll be available again, though.

I'm gonna just pre-order Weyoun on BBTS, even though their upcharge sucks, I just want to have him locked in at a place I trust. Wave 2 I'll just be getting Nog. Basically I'll be acquiring every DS9 character Nacelle makes (except Ezri), the bridge crew of TOS, every Voyage Home figure they make and most of the TNG offerings. I'm skipping any obscure TNG characters that I don't give a hoot about, but if they make Sherlock or Dixon Hill variants I'm snatching those up for sure.

I've been waiting for this line for a long time.

I saw BBTS put up preorders for a 1/6 scale figure of Michelle Yeoh, and I was wondering about the likelihood of seeing her show up in the 1/12 line? Is that line just older series and movies? I'm not a Trek collector but I could use a Michelle Yeoh for customs.

Nacelle does not have the license to “nuTrek”. Their license only covers from TOS to Nemesis. Hiya, who is also making 1/12 figures (Mezco style), could potentially make her.

Oh DAMN. I am THRILLED with whoever at Paramount is suddenly granting the license to anyone who asks.

I'm writing this surrounded by pieces of Lego's new Wicked For Good castles set I'm halfway through building. :) I hope the Lego figs themselves are the more sculpted versions and not the blank bucks like in that teaser - that's honestly why I think in the last year I've been enjoying Lego for the first time - the sculpted characters are detailed like action figures and have a somewhat close likeness. I have always thought the default Lego look was hideous.

The sculpted versions are usually used in "girl" sets. They're called mini dolls instead of the normal lego mini figures. I like them too, but I doubt that's what we'll get with Star Trek.

So I'm gonna gather the 1701-D is the first Enterprise to come out? Just think of all the ship class possibilities from that set alone folks will make.

I've never bought a UCS Lego set, but I'm really tempted just because of the customizing options.
