SDCC Exclusive Savage Land 3 pack (Rogue, Sauron, Shanna)

Cute gals. Rogue kind of has a looksmaxxing puckered expression, like Sauron is holding her phone to take social media pictures moreso than try to murder her. It has shades of "Blue Steel" 😂 and I'm not even mad.

Realized that Rogue face is clearly Ana De Armas - the eyebrows cement the rest (lips, eyes, face shape). Guessing no one at Hasbro recognized it, but the Marvel Snap card artist obviously set out to "cast her" as Rogue. Wonder if the sculptor figured it out while doing the job?

I see it, and it makes sense given its Alex Horley. No shade intended, we all have our process.

 
I'll grab this set if I can, but I really do wish the ladies' designs were more comic accurate, and that Sauron came with a non-hypnotizing head (white with black pupils would have been nice this time around).
 
Wishing I could go to SDCC just to get this I don’t want to wait for pulse

Ooh. My sister’s friend randomly got them tickets to SDCC and they just let them into the Hasbro Pulse line without line tickets yesterday.

Looks like I got a Savage Land set incoming, though the Cold Slither box apparently won’t fit in anybody’s luggage so it was a no-go. I’m gonna have to deal with my family roasting me for needing “dinosaurs and b*tches” for awhile though.

I keep thinking that too! But even I know the custom fodder stockpile is bad when it can offload extra 2008 Shanna, 2018 Sauron and 2020 Rogue to pay for two sets of 2025 Shanna, Sauron and Rogue lol.

There’s a future in which my toddler cools it so I get the time to sell my extras off, then I throw so much cash at my wife she doesn’t notice the ADU renovations getting just inexplicably well-suited for an art studio.

I feel like every custom I remember raybot doing has been officially done by Hasbro by now.
 
Of all the customs I made back in the day (and I focused pretty much exclusively on weird, offbeat villains), a decent two thirds have since been replaced by Hasbro versions. I tend to just do tweaks and fixes to released figures these days.

On topic, is there any word on when Pulse gets this set? I managed to part with my BAF Sauron for a decent amount post reveal, which should offset most of the costs. But I’ll be looking mighty foolish if this sells out fast and I’m left entirely sans Pterodactyl…

I heard the three box sets (Savage Land, Classified Cold Slither, Black Series Kenobi/Vader duel) all go up Aug 1. I’ll be away, but hopefully I can carve out time, and the Catskills has some kind of WiFi or data connection.
