Mezco One:12

What are the chances Thor and Cap actually ship in July? I just did my casual count of projected arrivals to my POL and its getting close to $900. Ugh.
 
$325 for the RUMBLER and figure. That's a super-easy pass for me.
 
I’d be all over it as a Hasbro vehicle but with one:12 being smaller than most other 6” figures, I imagine the van won’t fit a lot of other lines. Should have offered it without a figure to keep the price lower but it probably wouldn’t have taken it down much so the figure was probably added to help justify the price point.
 
Pretty bad timing considering the Haslab campaign. Definitely would've went without a figure — who was pretty lackluster originally and more so now — but you're probably right, it wouldn't have shaved all that much off the total cost.

I'd rather go with the Vala $180 package than throw nearly twice the amount at this.
 
I'm going to ignite my take and say that's a good price for a Mezco vehicle and figure.

However. Only one head? I wasn't really looking to get it anyway, but the figure might have pushed me knowing I could move the vehicle locally. But for a mezco figure, even with the fresh design, it's lacking in accessories.

Maybe that's sour grapes. But for this reason I'm out.

I've long wondered why they never revisited those designs in One:12. Jersey Devil & Mothman would definitely tempt me, even though I've pretty much sworn off buying anything directly from Mez after they screwed me on my Solomon Kane preorder.

I assume the line didn't do well at all given they never fully produced Nessie even though it was advertised and they clearly had a sculpt ready. Granted, I think the line did poorly because they were basically glorified statues but too small to fit with McFarlane ones of the era. I don't know how well their original Nemo did, but presumably better. I know in times past it's fetched a decent price on the secondary market.

I bought the two Nemo sets for pretty cheap at one point. They're both really great but I remember them sitting around a long time at ... I think it was Media Play way back then. Especially the cabin set. I kinda remember them being at the KB Toys outlet store for a while, too. But it was like 25 years ago so I could just be misremembering.

Yeah that seems plausible to me. I suppose the main difference is Mezco already has compatible 1/12 bucks for Nemo (minus that updated manta goblin-glider thing), while the crypto line would require a lot of new tooling to match the old stuff.

It's sort of funny but I look now as lines like LC's Crypt and keep thinking of how there's this ongoing attempt to do cryptid stuff that only now really seems to be landing. Mezco tried and failed. Creature Replica tried and failed. Really hope i eventually get a good looking Mothman.
 
Was really hoping for a Brow reveal for the Dick Tracy line. I've heard talk that line is done, but it seems such a cheap series for them to do. New head, plus new color suit (they just showed a brown one that would work), plus already made guns and such. I'd love some villain-specific accessories, but the Blank was awesome and was pretty bare-bones.
 
Anyone know when the Gangsters Inc sale starts today? Is it exclusive to Mezco's site with absurd shipping costs and intentional scarcity or will BBTS carry it as well?

Shipping was like $35 which seems like a tariff covering scheme to me. I’ve got a giant 3 foot, 20 pound dragon coming from the Four Horsemen in a few years and that was only $70. Mezco is really padding their shipping prices. I’d really love to request a cost breakdown invoice on that haha.

Thank you. I bought him but you're right: Mezco is full of shit on their pricing and shipping. I've passed on several figures I would have bought but for them adding $25 to an already exorbitant $90 pricepoint. Wanted the frog butler but couldn't pay that price. This gangster I really like for Batman stuff and couldn't pass on but that shipping cost is straight nonsense.
