Discuss Star Trek toys from Nacelle, Hiya, Master Replicas, Exo-6 and beyond.
 
Nacelle's Wave 2 looks amazing. I'm excited for 9 out of 10 of these. I've wanted Kirk with the horse from Generations for 30 years now. I really hope Generations Picard and his horse comes along soon. Bem is the only question mark for me, maybe I didn't watch all of STAS... I don't remember this character. Arex and M'Ress would have been better choices.

Some other factoids:
  • Brian has indicated that Kirk's horse probably won't be articulated, they want Kirk to be the same price as the other releases. Doing Kirk and the horse, articulated or otherwise, for under $30 is crazy.
  • It sounds like the TOS crew is Wave 3, the main seven, Rand, Chapel and one other crew member.
  • The TNG crew is wave 5.
  • Brian indicated that they are speeding up releases, so Wave 3 may be released next year.

I’m really liking Hiya’s stuff. The Strange New Worlds figures in both scales look like nice improvements on their Kelvin figures.

I wish Nacelle had the rights to also do the new trek stuff. I’m not too into the majority of what they’ve put out, but it looks good. I just wish payment wasn’t upfront for their first wave of figures. There are a couple I’d like to have from that wave. It’ll be interesting to see how Generations Kirk is priced.
 
Alternating ship crew waves and mixed waves is an interesting technique. Maybe it'll work out for fans of particular shows. You can order the full bridge crew all at once and then potentially move on from the line. Not sure if that's a sound sales tactic for long-term interest. But at least people can get a full crew without the worry of them never being completed.

Hopefully the line is successful enough to get through wave 3 (TOS crew) and 5 (TNG crew). I'd like Voyager as well, but it'll be so far off it's not even a realistic goal in my mind. Hopefully it happens. Announcing the plan for wave 3 and 5 as full crews actually does make the whole line more intriguing to me.
 
Speeding up production interests me most - but I'm still waiting on final samples of The Expanse figures to be revealed which should already be out? I don't need them rushed, but were they always scheduled for Q2? I doubt they even make that date at this point.

The two characters I want MOST in this scale are Tasha Yar and Seven of Nine. That neither of them received the nod over Tuvix really disappoints me - when neither has been done in this scale, so they should count.
 
I did end up finding Hiya Chekov, Sulu, and Scotty the other week. I'm surprised they released them before Spock Prime and Nero, who I'm pretty sure were revealed before them (maybe Keenser too?) Guess it was easier to churn them out, since it's just a re-colored shirt and new head (the likenesses on Sulu and Chekov aren't too bad from certain angles, Sulu especially, but Scotty looks more like a stand-in than Simon Pegg). Glad to have them, though (can't believe this is our first figure of Kelvin Chekov in the Starfleet uniform!), and glad to support the line, especially if it helps us get closer to Uhura. A bit disheartened to see they're moving on to SNW figures before her, but I'm not giving up hope just yet.
 
BBTS has the Nacelle stuff up now. finally pre-ordered the three figures I was interested in from the first wave.

I’m really anxious to see how Nacelle’s Star Trek figures are going to look in-hand. I love their “Biker Mice From Mars” and “Sectaurs” figures. They are perfectly scaled right between Diamond Select’s Star Trek and Hasbro’s GI Joe: Classified!

I have all of Hiya’s Star Trek that have released so far and I have every Master Replicas Star Trek figure that has been announced on Preorder. Hopefully this tariff situation won’t kill anything before it truly gets started, because otherwise it is finally looking like things are going to be great for Star Trek collectors.

Anybody on here still into Trek toys? It seems to have gone quiet and maybe things will pick up at SDCC. A friend reminded me today is Seven of Nine day which just made me think how we have so few good Seven of Nine products in ANY scale.
 
It is pretty quiet right now on the Trek front. Still waiting on Hiya figures, haven’t received any after the last few, and I don’t even know if they ever came out or not. Nacelle is not until next year. I’m not sure when the first Master Replicas releases hit. I don’t have much in the pipeline for Exo-6, but I did preorder The Gorn yesterday.

Beast Kingdom just put up preorders for TWOK Spock and TNG Picard. I’ll be passing on these. I don’t need these same characters in yet another scale.

But I shouldn't be surprised - the way they're handling The Expanse line right now really makes me nervous for Trek. Big promises - hope they actually execute.

Sorry, was going off of faulty memory. I hope they do make it this year. This is the Trek license I’m most excited about right now.
 
I'm still catching up on the Hiya figures. Waiting for Scotty to ship from Deep Discount, and I still need to pick up Sulu and Chekov.
