DC 1/6th scale thread (Mondo, Hot Toys , Sideshow Collectibles, DC Direct)

Just got a shipping notice for Two Face from Mondo!

Wonder when Batgirl will be going up and who the next one after her is.

I just got my Two Face shipment notification as well. I only own this one and the exclusive Clayface. Robin looks great, Batman looks meh. Joker needs to be redone as I don't actually feel like any of his faces look all that "animated." Catwoman needs a redo as well. Thankfully they haven't put out any more that I REALLY want. Poison Ivy looks good, though, so that's the only one I'm considering.

I'm surprised Harvey is shipping two months early, the site said May 2026.

They really need to let Alex Brewer redo Batman. The Batman head molded in clay that came with Clayface might be the most on-model Timm Batman I've ever seen, and he's all in brown! The old one really looked bad in those solicitation shots they did with their Superman figure.

The Riddler is probably my only other "must have" and even that is contingent on how he looks overall. I'd like to get a redone Batman but that would likely open the floodgates to then having to collect more of these, and I'm almost entirely done with Real Ghostbusters and the X-Men I wanted. Mondo makes great stuff, but it takes up more space than most things and aint cheap. I'm looking forward to being done with most lines except for the occassional Marvel Legend once DC passes to Mattel, then I can just focus on aftermarket pickups for the most part.

To me, Riddler and Penguin are critical. Then Killer Croc, Mad Hatter, and Ra’s would be nice.

Penguin is one I hadn't thought of, even though he's critical in the show. I've avoided buying even the DC Collectibles version of the animated series one solely because it looks so off model from the cartoon. I doubt Todd will be any different with the reissue if there is one.

I think they mentioned Killer Croc a couple times recently so I'd assume he's next in line. He's in my "maybe" category for characters I'd buy if I was all in on this line. Mad Hatter less so, Ra's a little more than Mad Hatter.

But I did get Two-Face today and he's very on model with the show, it's hard to say I'm impressed as I'd consumed so much media about the figure since it was shown at Comic Con, but I'm overall satisfied with what we were given. It looks great next to my ClayFace with Batman's head sticking out of the chest. I hope Joker gets a redo, I'd like to buy him but I like none of the heads he comes with. The hatted expressions look the best and I'm not going to keep him just in the hat for that.

God, I still have to open my Clayface. He's been sitting in the shipper ever since I got him at release. I think part of me is just worried about finding space for him, but it's better than the general catch-all platform he's become. The other part of me is probably worried about wanting to commit even more to the line. Other than him, I only have Scarecrow (4, actually 😅) but he's skinny and doesn't take up too much room. But if I open Clayface, I'm gonna want Batman, and then Joker, and of course Harley. Mr. Freeze looks cool too, and all the recent Two-Face photos I've seen kick ass. One of my LCS has had Phantasm hanging around for a while, and she looks hella cool too. It's a slippery, slippery slope.

But as far as future releases, I'd say Riddler feels the most crucial. Ra's feels like an easy sell for most folks as well, and has enough to make a deluxe feel pretty easy- the Anubis demon mask thingy, etc. I know Killer Croc has been on their want-to-do list for a while. Penguin feels crucial, but I'd be interested to see how they'd do him, since he's so round. But they had no issue with Man-Bat, so I'm sure they could pull off horizontal girth versus vertical height. I think the only other one that may push me over the edge in terms of getting would be Mad Hatter. Maybe Ventriloquist, but I'd be shocked if they go that deep. If and when they start dipping their toes into TNBA, though, that's a whole other ballgame....
