General Marvel Legends

I think the votes are similar between our group and his FB vote because these are the most outstanding missing characters that get a lot of buzz on a variety of sites. Also, it seems like a large swath of collectors want classic stuff, not necessarily modern.

As for the lack of X characters: once we got Rachel and Feral, and outside of Outback Psylocke and Hepzibah (and Raza by association) the X vote gets split a lot by a wide variety of groups, rosters, teams and main characters in alternate costumes. Exodus is usually the main frontrunner for X villains.

That’s an awesome list - I’m surprised by how mutant light it is, but given I’m all done on X characters now, that suits me fine.

Any list headed by Jack of Hearts is A-OK in my books.

Man, that is very similar to our lists. Are many of us there as well? I've never heard of them before now.
Is that spideyboy's forum?

I think that's down to the demographic of the group. I often wonder how many young people are reading this forum and if there are any women at all, and how skewed our conversations are - and results like the above - because of that lack of diversity.

I've looked over posts on several message boards over the past week and looked over various Top 10 lists and wish lists of characters that fans hope to see get made into "Marvel Legends" figures. I also got messages from some of my friends on what characters they hope to see made. Just for fun, here are some collage images that I made of the most requested characters I found while I was looking around and from friends' messages.

The only one I forgot to include was the Mandarin. That said, I'm curious what you guys think of the choices.

And because no one demanded it, these are the characters that I hope get made into "Marvel Legends" figures in the not too distant future.

I know a lot of my wish list picks are remakes of characters that Hasbro has made before, but a lot of them I included because I missed out on their previous figures the first time around and some need updating on new body molds and with better head sculpts (I'm looking at YOU, savage green Hulk). It would also be nice if we could finally get a classic Lizard that wasn't sold exclusively at one place and didn't sell out after being available online for fifteen minutes.

What do you guys think?

A lot of cool characters there. I'd get quite a few of them honestly. But out of what's in that collage (and the one you mentioned forgetting lol) my biggest wants are Exodus, The Mandarin, and Annihilus.

In your list of figures that you hope they make in the not-so-distant future, I'd really like to get that Wonder Man. I need a Wonder Man in that attire.

Looking at the collages that @StuartGreen3 posted drives home the point that my goals with respect to Marvel Legends have changed from expanding my collection to finishing it. There are still 15-20 characters on there that would be immediate, full price preorders for me, but there was a time when it would have been just about all of them. That’s not anyone’s “fault”. I’m simply aging out and therefore prioritizing quality (figures I truly want) over quantity (figures that would be nice to have).

It is nice to see the Frightful Four finally getting some love. They’re my top priority when it comes to villains.

That only matters if the demographics of the Legends buyers are more diverse than the people in the polls. If Legends buyers skew older and male, then the poll skewing that way would be OK if it matches who is spending the money. This is why Hasbro probably does its own market research and may or may not take our polls as all that valuable of information. It is useful information of course because most fans are active buyers, but very likely that the YouTube and Reddit chats also reflect true sentiment...and maybe a different subset of the buyers.
